The man who served us was more than capable and an excellent front of house server, I cannot recommend him more highly. I had the chocolate bomb thing for dessert and it was indulgent, decadent and beautiful. We had fish of the day and the pie for our mains and they were exquisite too. The pub is clean and comfortable, with low beams and a lovely traditional pub feel. There is an extensive garden area out the back too which looks like it will be great when the summer returns.
I highly recommend a visit to this pub, thank you for a lovely experience.

Lovely staff, delicious food, great portions and even the sauces on the side of the starter plate were all made in house and full of flavour. Will be coming back very soon. Outstanding.

The dream of this place and the menu are just genius! This place does THE most amazing food with an amazing fusion of the best of Asian street food mixed with American chain faves like frech fries and fizzy drinks. The food is top quality and it is found in Hemel Hempstead Marlowes shopping center. It felt up and coming and like a chain but better and I spoke to a lady sitting there, and found out it’s been open 5 years but opened during covid so is still very new, and has been opened by her husband who is a head chef. With the likes of Raman noodles, goyoza, fries, katsu chicken a mix of Indian favourites AND chocolate brownies! It offers breakfasts, lunches AND afternoon teas and meals! I mean!! It’s brought together the possibility of it being a chain, a fusion of all sorts of the best of many already loved cuisines, Plays a mix of authentic Indian beats and pop songs and has staff that are friendly, professional but don’t over bother you! An array of great cold and hot drinks including lasi, chai, coffee, etc .. I can see this place booming! I found the stumbling upon this gem in its early days exciting! They deliver to the local area and also can offer catering! This place deserves to be on every high street and I can see it with restaurants with its own concoctions of interesting cock/mocktails! I’d love to see what their afternoon teas are like! And can’t wait to see the future of Yugen! Highly recommend! Tables quite close together in the Restaurant area but think that's just so they can fit everyone in because they seemed to be fully booked when we visited. Service was prompt and attentive but not at all pushy. Good home cooked unpretentious food

I always worry about eating out due to my nut allergy but the moment we got sat down at a table and our server Holly came over, she was super sweet brought over a iPad to check my allergy and offered to help any way she could. Amazing service and super polite and kind. I ate my food which was great and felt comfortable in the knowledge there was not nuts in any of it. Very please and big thank you to Holly.

I called the restaurant to let them know and say i was coming back. The lady immediately knew who i was, apologised, and offered to bring the missing part of my order to me! She came to my car, which was parked a good 5/7 minute walk away, very apologetic, and handed me my missing order. Once I opened the reunited wings, I was pleasantly surprised she had given me an extra wing for the inconvenience!Made my day! Great service great food!

Food is always hot, fresh tasting and pretty good value compared to some other local fast food chicken places.
I tend to order the giant fillet burger which is pretty big to the point where most of it is hanging out of the bun which I have no problem with at all!
They do a good selection of sides including popcorn chicken, onion rings, spicy rice etc. Aside from your typical fried chicken, the peri peri range is a really good. Much better value for money and in my opinion but better tasting than that big popular peri chicken chain of restaurants.
I have ordered the spicy mix box in the past but found it was drowning in spicy sauce which some people will probably like but was a bit over bearing for me!
Not visited the actual restaurant in person so can’t comment on anything in that respect but the order is usually correct - only thing that can sometimes happen is you order one particular drink and receive something else, for example we quite often order Diet Coke and receive Pepsi max or Diet Pepsi which I’m not a fan of but probably one of the downsides of ordering through Uber as these changes if something is out of stock is hard to communicate without calling. Minor issue.
Kid-friendliness: They do good chicken tenders etc without sauce or spice if required.

In Saying that though they do have cheaper pitchers than most of the Wetherspoons. The staff are friendly and the service here is fairly fast.

I can’t say one bad thing or anything they could work on. The manager and her team were the most lovely people and this is what is really important in hospitality. The man who served us was more than capable and an excellent front of house server, I cannot recommend him more highly. I had the chocolate bomb thing for dessert and it was indulgent, decadent and beautiful. We had fish of the day and the pie for our mains and they were exquisite too. The pub is clean and comfortable, with low beams and a lovely traditional pub feel. There is an extensive garden area out the back too which looks like it will be great when the summer returns.
I highly recommend a visit to this pub, thank you for a lovely experience.

Lovely staff, delicious food, great portions and even the sauces on the side of the starter plate were all made in house and full of flavour. Will be coming back very soon. Outstanding.

The dream of this place and the menu are just genius! This place does THE most amazing food with an amazing fusion of the best of Asian street food mixed with American chain faves like frech fries and fizzy drinks. The food is top quality and it is found in Hemel Hempstead Marlowes shopping center. It felt up and coming and like a chain but better and I spoke to a lady sitting there, and found out it’s been open 5 years but opened during covid so is still very new, and has been opened by her husband who is a head chef. With the likes of Raman noodles, goyoza, fries, katsu chicken a mix of Indian favourites AND chocolate brownies! It offers breakfasts, lunches AND afternoon teas and meals! I mean!! It’s brought together the possibility of it being a chain, a fusion of all sorts of the best of many already loved cuisines, Plays a mix of authentic Indian beats and pop songs and has staff that are friendly, professional but don’t over bother you! An array of great cold and hot drinks including lasi, chai, coffee, etc .. I can see this place booming! I found the stumbling upon this gem in its early days exciting! They deliver to the local area and also can offer catering! This place deserves to be on every high street and I can see it with restaurants with its own concoctions of interesting cock/mocktails! I’d love to see what their afternoon teas are like! And can’t wait to see the future of Yugen! Highly recommend! Forgot to take a photo of the chicken I had because I ate it before I thought to tell everyone about this place! lol
