We booked a table for 6 people everything was great except for the food on the menu it stated with the carvery you get more vegetables than you can shake a fork at well your forks need something to be desired and on Sunday the 7th January we had to stand in a long queue just waiting for carrots our food was getting cold cabbage and carrots don't exactly shake a fork no mash no peas when the carrots finally arrived they was rock hard so what the hell was we waiting for might as well served RAW carrots.Kid-friendliness: Nice and helpful staff

Great Sunday roast with my friends. Lovely atmosphere and very good service. I look forward to coming back in summer, they have a beautiful outdoor space.

Had a lovely experience at this pub restaurant, staff very hospitable and friendly. Food was very tasty with large portions. We were a family of ten and looked after very well. Everyone was more than happy with their dish. Definitely recommend, will be back. Thank you to all of great staff and of course the chefs!

Really lovely pub!! Excellent service, great drink selection and okay menu. Menu offerings sound good but don't live up to the flavourful promise.Kid-friendliness: Gave the kids colouring in to do. Lovely little touch.

Christmas meal for 8. Excellent carvery with tender meats, good selection of veg and sauces. The staff were properly trained, well dressed and just delightful.Particularly liked that they managed the carvery queue so we were not standing around, but could sit until they were ready for us. The table was kept tidy and we were just well looked after. Also, plenty of custard!

A large group of us were there for our Christmas lunch. The food was good and plentiful. We were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed being there. The staff were great and Victor deserves a special mention for his care and attention.Shall definitely be returning.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access to the pub from the car park at the back.

Lovely little pub, nice atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. My partner and I stopped in on our way home for dinner, we haven't been before.Unfortunately, the food let the place down tonight. We had the lasagne and the sausage with mash. The lasagne came in a reasonably sized square dish. Unfortunately, that dish was only quarter filled. The lasagne was at best 1.5cm thick.... it was more like a small lasagne flavoured pancake, as if the cooks ran out of ingredients and just decided to throw the last little bit into a dish. The portion size would have been forgivable had it been an amazing lasagne. However, it was below average at best. No flavour or seasoning at all. It came with small portion of chunky chips, 11 in total (yes I counted). If the 11, 7 were delicious, and 4 were hard and undercooked. The sausages were okay... typical cheap frozen sausages cooked okay. The mash was tasty, but was finished in 2 mouthfuls. A helping of near-raw onions and about half a litre of gravy helped make the dish feel more filling. We shared a bread board, hoping to fill the gap with some tasty home made bread, but we recieved some rock hard butter and some supermarket bread toasted.Overall very disappointed with the food. I'd go back for a drink and the atmosphere, but you'd get better food at your local weatherspoons.

Booked Sunday afternoon, would recommend booking as very busy.Received warm welcome, all the staff looked very smart, were very efficient and friendly, only positive things about them allLarge pub / restaurant with many different dinning areas so was not noisy where we were seated.Nicely decorated with a range of framed pictures, which looked smart and interesting to read.Done full menu and carvery, all food was very nicely presented, and tasted good. I had the turkey carvery which was timed with meals from kitchen as waitress let me know which time to go up, which was excellent service.Price are very reasonable compared with the service on offer. There is a car park which was full on our visit but has street parking.I would recommend a visit.

Exquisite food and great atmosphere. This pub/restaurant is a great choice if you want to stop for food on your way to London or out of London. Reservation suggested.Parking: We left the highway and got to the restaurant in 5 minutes with no issue finding parking around.

Nice table/room, waiting staff, and service were fine, unfortunately, the standard of the food was mediocre at best! The starters varied in quality and temperature somewhat, from very good to poor. The mains were generally good with a couple of alarming dishes. The mashed potato was quite frankly the worst we've ever tasted, we all agreed that it would be cruel to serve up in a prison lol! Basically, peeled, boiled, mashed (poorly), and dolloped luke warm onto the plate! No seasoning or dairy produce, it was horrendous!

Food was nice, good service, staff friendly enough. But don't make the mistake I made ? when I went to pay the bill, I just looked at the total price at the bottom. It £76+ so I gave the girl £80 and said keep the change. When I read the bill later....... It included a 10% service charge.

Excellent food and attentive service. Took information about my friend's dairy allergy into account and made sure her meal was satisfactory.
