Pubs in Hertford

“Amazing roast- I had the pork. There was so much meat. We had extra helpings of vegetables as find most places don’t give you much.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair user: staff were friendly and I was able to get my chair in and out. Toilets are accessible but would be easier if they could add extension on toilets as they’re low but otherwise good access”

“Very good McMullen's Brewery pub a few yards from Hertford East Railway Station. Three cask beers on handpump when I visited including a mild. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered in the lovely garden to the rear.”

“A lovely pub, full of history. Great beer, with a choice of 5 or 6 real ales. Handy for trips to nearby Hertford Town FC, friendly locals and staff.”

“Never been here before but we will come back, popped in for a drink and walked through to the beer garden, what a lovely space! Really big area so lots of space, they have a tent like structure across the middle so a little cover if you need it. Lots of tables and chairs, some chairs have backs as well so not all picnic benches. They had live music the night we went and it was an amazing atmosphere, people up dancing, really lovelyIt was Friday Fizz and Gin night so a gin and tonic was on offer I think £5...whole thing was fab”

“Gorgeous old pub with a superb selection of real ales and craft beers on tap. The friendliest staff in town that make you feel so welcome. We visited for lunch with our toddler and all polished the lot off! Great vegetarian options and the ‘best fish and chips’ my husband has had in a long time. So lucky to have this place as our local.”

“They don't do food but have a pizza van in car park and there is a fish and chips shop and terrific bakery just round corner. They allow you to bring in food. Stopped for the night with motorhome in car park. Lovely friendly pub.”

“I like this Pub. Good food and service, but during the day always seems quiet. Problem; one never knows if its open, it closes Mondays and the kichen not always open .... i guess it Ok if you tend to use a Pub on a Friday or Saturday evening, but as we use Pubs mid-week lunch/afternoons it a pain...”
