We held my fathers wake here very recently. From the moment I contacted Gill, she was so very helpful and had everything arranged and ready for when we arrived. The buffet was wonderful, especially the homemade cakes and brownies. Nothing was too much trouble at all. Thank you Gill, it was a really lovely ending to a sad and difficult day.
A quaint (but lovely), family run local pub that specialises in home made pies & puds.We ordered (& greatly enjoyed) a Steak, Marmite & Mushroom pie as well as a Chicken & Mushroom Pie that came with a selection of options & lashings of gravy - both were delicious & generous in size.For dessert I ordered a Rhubarb Crumble with custard (to take away), which they were pleased to arrange without query.A very cosy pub with a beer garden out back & a very impressive, dedicated competitive...read full review
