Food was really very good indeed. 5 adults. Ages from 50-70. Various tastes. Vegetarian, pescatarian and carnivores all very well catered for. Attentive service, but not overly pushy. Cheerful atmosphere. All round fantastic evening to catch up with friends.

Only ordered for collection however the staff is very attentive and you can see they definitely care about the food they make! We got loads of stuff and it was all amazing, will definitely order again. ?

We have been coming to Ruby’s for a few years now, either dining in or for take away and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious and the service is amazing. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which adds to the overall enjoyment of each visit. It's become our reliable go-to spot, and we always look forward to our next visit.

The food has gone down hill since I was there last. All the dishes were very dry and not much taste. Disappointing.

Our first visit to Hertford and loved it, we dropped on this beautiful restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat, and so glad we did. Absolutely delicious food, staff helpful and friendly, taking the time to chat. I can honestly say it was the best Curry I've ever had. We will definitely go out of our way again in June to visit Ruby for another delicious meal, thankyou you are an asset to Hertford ? salmon curry/ chicken sag masala

Advertise that they're open until 11.30. Turn people away for takeaway at 11pm. Really disappointed

We had the most amazing private dinning experience at the Ruby for a family birthday. From start to finish we were made to feel incredibly welcome, all of our needs were taken care of, and the food was outstanding and full of flavour and variety. Even members of our group who are not typically fans of Indian cuisine couldn't stop complimenting the dishes. There really was something for everyone and our waiter for the night, Samie, really pulled all the stops to make this evening one we would never forget. It's always lovely discovering family run businesses that take such pride in quality and customer experience, and the Ruby does just that! We will definitely be back again and can't thank the full team, Samie and his Dad Naz (owner) for really making us feel at home and treating us with such grace! Thank youVegetarian options: Lots of options across starters and mains.

Top notch lamb pasanda, very generous with the amount of lamb in the sauce.

Dined here with two friends yesterday and I have to say this is the best curry house I have ever been too. It is truly fantastic. Freshly made breads, delicately spiced mains that don't leave you with cumin farts and dodgy guts the next day. Just the right amount of heat and depth of flavour. I wish I lived nearer as I would eat here a couple of times a week. A truly special restaurant with great staff and a friendly owner. They have also won more awards than you can shake a stick at. It was just a shame that Neil from Stevenage couldn't attend and blew us all out again.

Enough is enough! The Ruby is getting greedy, they are so popular based on a great reputation that they have more business than they can handle. Problem is the quality is rapidly declining, along with complacency towards their customers. Yet again the takeaway was poor, watery sauce, smaller and fewer pieces of chicken than there used to be and not very tasty. Such a shame this once excellent restaurant has gone this way, they are not happy with what at the prices they charge must be a very profitable business and decided to go for even more profit at the expense of loyal customers. What a flawed logic that will eventually prove to be their downfall.

Consistently amazing. We visited this evening to celebrate our sons 13th birthday. Ali, Khu Kon and the rest of the team couldn't do enough for us. I had the duck Byriyani, hubby had the Naz special, reccomended by Khu Kon both dishes were so tasty & flavoursome. Our son asked for his usual, plain chicken tikka with cucumber, cooked to perfection for a fussy eater, no wonder its his favourite restaurant.Thank you for a wonderful evening, great food & brilliant service!Parking: Car park nearby and after 6pm free on street parking.Kid-friendliness: Naz,Ali and the team make our children feel special, they help them choose and make adjustments where needed. All the staff take the time to speak with our children, who choose Ruby as their favourite place to eat!

Restaurant nicely decoratedQuiet and not much atmosphereService okThe onion bhaji starter seemed not fresh and reheated from earlier so dryWas not freshly madeThe main course nice but not much chicken in it . Around half a chicken breast.Never understand why a main course costing £12 or more cannot contain at least a good chicken breast worth of meat ( £6 a kg )Sauce was good with itNan bread quite small and £4-50 so bit expensive
