First visit was okay, room was large but tired, second visit had requested a ground floor twin room but ended up with a first floor twin room, very steep stairs and a large step up to the room itself, not good for my 82 year old mother. Beds were comfy enough and the shower was great but the toilet had a full length window right opposite which had frosted glass, we were not convinced that it was effective with the light on so ended up putting a towel up to protect our privacy. Room itself had no chairs and the wardrobe was a cupboard behind a mirror which was too deep to actually use. Nowhere else to put clothes. Room was supposed to have a fridge but didn't. Breakfast was not included but we decided to try it anyway. Consisted of Frosties or granola with milk and full English breakfast, tea or coffee from a flask which was warm, not hot, and toast, no choice of white or brown. When asked if I could have poached eggs on toast instead of a full English was told no, only fried eggs. Orange juice was fizzy, suggesting it had been there for a while. Location of this place is great and there is plenty of parking, although it is very tight, but overall was not happy with my visit this time.

Super comfy bed, right in the city center. Nice breakfast. Relaxing bath. Good service. I quite like the decor, which has some character to it. Good place to go if you're a small group of friends. I will definitely come back!

Room 5 has a main door and 2 doors either side of the bed. Neither of the additional doors locked and led to either a corridor open to the public or the main road. Thankfully a piano and chest of drawers had been placed in front of the doors which didn't prevent them opening but would stop less agile OAPs from entering. All 3 doors were wood ply interior doors, fine if your bedroom is opening into your own house not so much if it's the only thing between you and all the drunkards coming out of Weatherspoons on a Saturday night. Luckily the drunk woman that tried to get in through the unlocked door was stopped by her husband/boyfriend/one night stand as he was certain the bedroom was just a storage cupboard. The rest of the room was dated but not bad. TV was big and the previous guest had left Netflix signed in so can't complain really.

This was a hotel i was moved to by my company as the last hotel wasn't fit for purpose.I found this clean and quiet,my water didn't flow to well from the tap which was a minor but all in all good stay. Personally don't like four poster beds but its only there to sleep in not look at lol.. ?Rooms: Rooms were spacious with good size bathroom.mine had walk in shower and bath as well.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and a perfectly sized meal. Even loved the coffee served in the restaurant.

Fantastic evening meal, but disappointing breakfast. Only choice was full English, no cereal, fruit juice or any healthy choices. Another guest asked if they could have scrambled egg on toast, but was refused. Room could have been better, it just lacked some tlc. All minor things (no loo roll holder as one example). It wouldn't take very much to bring the room up to a good standard.

Worst place I have ever stayed in.. filthy dirty. Air con not working, god knows when it was last serviced. No mattress or pillow protectors. Bottom sheets dont fit. Curtain missing on one window, other curtain only hung on 2 hooks with dip in middle. Changed room. Curtains OK, but still very dirty. ...bed the same. More cobwebs than Raiders of the Lost Ark. Could be lovely, but owners have no interest. The restaurant was pretty empty, so you would think this is where the money is but they obviously can't be bothered. Never again !!

I am a Hitchin man and was staying for a night to visit relatives. It all looks good from the street. So why not!!!. Major regrets. The room we were thrown in had curtains hanging off and missing, no kettle etc. Aircon not working. Cobwebs everywhere. Complained!!! Got a (free upgrade). Cobwebs akimbo and in communal areas more so. Fire extinguishers propping doors open and not hung on wall. Out of date labels on them. One had no pin or plastic tag on so I pulled trigger...... no workey. This place is a fire hazard waiting to happen. As a Hitchin man, this place is an embarrassment. Please come to Hitchin, this place must be avoided at all costs.... Premier Inn Clean, helpful staff, the best beds. Book early. This hotel and frozen food restaurant is the worst place I have ever I have had the misfortune to have to stay.

The room was dirty especially the carpet I wrote my name in the dust! The shower was nice and hot but as the shower tray was blocked we couldn’t stay in it for long otherwise it would overflow! There was no TV remote and when asked they just said it will be in the room somewhere.Went for breakfast on Sunday at 9:55 after we had not much sleep as we where all evacuated by the police knocking on our doors (not one member of staff to be seen for fire drill, no tick list on guests to check everyone got out safely!?)due to a fire down the road (Obviously no fault of the hotel’s) we where told the kitchen is closed now it closes at 10:00 on Sunday! She said it is in the room on an info sheet. There was no sign of this in our room. We was told if we paid cash it would be cheeper, so we did £160 I expected a full English breakfast. We arrived late on Friday evening after a 7 & half hour journey and all our wedding family where staying here also which is why we stayed 2 nights. All the other guests had complaints too, one had no towels, another guy had the whole glass glazing panel fall on him from the window?‍♀️ Good job it didn’t fall on a child! it was a massive window! He showed us the photos. Also no plug in a bath. I do not recommend this place at all.It makes Faulty Towers look like a five star!

Not a good experience, which really didn't happen! The lady refused to accommodate us when we asked only for a dessert and hot drink!!!Is it compulsory ti eat what they like or we go to have what the customers like??

Had a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was good, huge TV, nice breakfasts but Frosties instead of Corn Flakes. Lots of safe parking round the back. There was however no information about breakfast times, or any information whatsoever in my room. I had to ask a resident.

Our flight from Ireland was delayed. Due to this we were not able to arrive on time to make check-in. The lady from the hotel agrees neither to make check-in later nor leave the key for us somewhere. No any compromise from the hotel's side.Of course, we lost some money but with such an attitude to the clients the hotel will lose much more.
