I've been in the shop many times for the lovely old-fashioned sweets. I bought some mint and fudge sweets last week for my wife. She tasted them and said they had an odd and unpleasant aftertaste; I tried them and thought the same. I went back to the shop today (Monday) to explain and ask for a refund and to buy some other sweets. However, the young man serving became very aggressive and threatening. I had to leave before it escalated into a very nasty experience. Sadly, I won't be returning.

We travelled halfway across the globe and stumble upon this olde sweet shop so full of treats and a true gem for the young and adults alike. Amazed by the wide selection of chocs, sweets and gummies. Staff were extremely friendly, accomodating and even let us take a picture from inside. This olde sweet shop certainly made our day in Hertford!

The Sweet's and chocolate are quite expensive but some of the sweet are imported so it makes some sense, sometimes there isn't someone on the till / shop floor.Overall the shop has a nice cool environment and a bit selection of stuff, I would say the chocolate here is nice. ?

While browsing the selection, I was made to feel unwelcome by a man working at the shop who kept giving me dirty looks whenever I didn't make a purchase. This made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and I left the shop feeling disappointed and frustrated.Overall, I would not recommend the Olde Sweet Shoppe to anyone. The high prices and poor customer service make it a poor choice for anyone looking to buy sweets or other items. There are surely better options out there that offer better prices and more welcoming service.

I recently visited a sweet shop that was an absolute nightmare. The shopkeeper was rude and gave dirty looks to anyone who dared to enter the store. Not only was the atmosphere unwelcoming, but the prices were outrageously high.To make matters worse, the shopkeeper seemed to have a rule that if you looked at anything for too long, you were forced to buy it. This was especially frustrating for children, who were treated with complete disrespect by the shopkeeper.I would not recommend this sweet shop to anyone. The poor customer service and high prices make it an unpleasant experience all around. Stay far away from this place!

Most of the sweets are pretty nice but many are out of date and overpriced. The man who runs it is very aggressive if you don't buy anything in the first 5 minutes. He starts giving me dirty looks and growling at me. He also makes you buy anything you touch. He acts kind if adults are in the store but when kids come he goes mad. Despite the fact that we had exact change, the shopkeeper refused to give us our change and instead pocketed the extra money for herself. When we tried to protest, she simply sneered and told us to leave the shop.In short, this sweet shop is a horrible place with a nasty shopkeeper who is more interested in scamming customers than providing a pleasant shopping experience. I would highly recommend avoiding this shop and supporting a more reputable and customer-friendly establishment instead.
