First time visit. Very nice real ale pub with great atmosphere. Enjoyed the real ale and the cider. Must ho back again.

Impressive range of real ales, (and plenty of other beers if that's not your bag). Lots of friendly punters, a large and well used outside space / beer garden. Good, swift service from friendly staff. Clean toilets. Decent! I'll be back!

Great selection of beers and a great atmosphere. All the people here are friendly too. The outside area is lovely for a drink in the summer. And the snack selection is great.

Best real ale pub in Hitchin, always was, still is. Also has red stripe on tap because..... Hitchin. If anything it should get 6 stars for this alone.

Great beer, traditional family friendly pub, regular music events and lovely staff. Making the most of the outdoor space and serving simple snack food like cheese boards.
Like this pub and its approach. Was slightly disappointed on range of beers on offer the day I was there. Bit safe selection. Will try again

I've been to the Half Moon half a dozen times when visiting Hitchin and loved it every time. The bar staff are friendly and Freddie the owner is very helpful and chatty ☺️ There are always at least 4 guest beers if not more, and they are always great condition. One of my favourite pubs in Hitchin, great GBG pub
