Popped in here for Saturday lunch after The Old George said they served food at lunchtime but wouldn't serve us because they were too busy.Nice little traditional (but not fake traditional) pub. Half the pub was full of diners, the other half had locals watching the 6 Nations rugby; they didn't create much noise but gave the place a buzz. The staff were friendly and we got served promptly. I had a special of pork with mash that was very tasty. Some decent ales on: Timothy Taylor Boltmaker and Woodforde Wherry are the ones I remember.

Lovely little village pub. Superb staff and service all round. Good food, nice roast. Parking was good. They also accept all dogs on a short lead which is lovely. Even had treats given by bar staff. Nice touch. Lovely atmosphere. Only 4 stars as it felt a little cramped. 4 people trying to eat at a small table, chairs clanging with next tables. Cozy, but perhaps a little too cozy for my comfort. Other than that, and if you like intimate atmospheres and rubbing shoulders literally as you eat, then it would 5 stars. Still great experience and would definitely go back. Firstly for the service and secondly for the food. Definitely worth a visit

Our Motorcycle Club Stevenage and District Motorcycle Club help its meeting here. The pub was well suited for a club meet with large car park. The buffet was very generous and they had a good selection of alcohol free beers. Dog friendly pubParking: Large car park

Old village pub, good selection of beer, didn't try the food. Reasonable beer garden.

What a great find. Used the Cask Mark app to find pubs near me that served Woodforde’s Wherry - my favourite beer - and the Plume came up. Well, not just a fantastic pint, but really great grub. Wish this was my local!

Popped in with the family for some lunch, scampi and ham and egg meals. Really friendly welcome and quick service. The food was fantastic. Would happily come here again. Sausage and mash at the next table looked amazing.
