I visited this local restaurant for a birthday meal with my family. The menu has a variety and there is lots to choose from. The food is perfection. The service was great and the wine was even better. Would definitely recommend. I have also had pizzas as a takeaway and they are amazing, so tasty and authentic.

The food was amazing and the service was impeccable, they even just whipped up a vegan meal for my sister. If I could give it a higher rating I would, 10/10 will be going back!

Think we were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked ... not surprisingly it was very busy. It's a lovely place, great atmosphere insideService was a little slow but only because of it being so busy, staff extremely helpful so a nice experience.Food was lovely, traditional Italian fare ... will come back, very enjoyable x

Really professional restaurant, family owned and run. High quality, and with prices to match. Unfortunately rather quiet at lunchtime.

I’m a restaurant owner myself, and we sell steak. But I come here for steak when I want to eat one. Enough said!!

Visiting Hoddesdon for the first time, on a cold winter's day, we needed hot food. Having walked along the main street, we decided on Zagara, and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. Wanting to have something new, I tried Paccheri Spada (large pasta tubes with swordfish, olives etc), which was very good and my wife chose Quattro Stagioni Pizza. All very good (I had to try some of the pizza as my wife could not finish it all!) and highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch at Zagara. Food is always amazing and the staff so friendly and attentive. My only comment would be around the recent changes to the menu. A lot of the changes have been fish dishes and as a non fish eater it feels like my choices of food have been reduced. Feels like the specials are mainly fish too. I appreciate fish is very popular with a lot of people so I guess thats why.

Good Italian food at its best. If you think that Italian food all about pasta and pizza, you are mistaken! Try their seafoods; delicious.I highly recommend this place

Was recommended by a friend to eat here. What can I say? As I stood outside the front door my olfactory senses were piqued with the memory of my Italian mother in laws home kitchen. I instinctively know if my pasta sauce equals Carmela's and that's if the smell is "right". As I entered Zagaras I "knew" I was in for a culinary delight of Italian cuisine, and I was not wrong in trusting my instincts. The "coven" shared all starter, main and dessert dishes each of which complimented the other: the pictures from hereon will give you am idea of the tantalising tastes, titillating our taste buds over an unrushed booking. The staff were exceptional , friendly full of banter, accommodating , higher management involved, a cheeky limoncello digestif offered to finalise a fantastic feast of fabulous tasting food. Well done to all the effort of the Zagara Ristorante team work . We'll be back.......
