I went to Luna Cafe this afternoon with my husband and son. We were advised where to sit which was straight down the corridor and on the left and so we found the table and sat down. Once we were seated, no one attended to us, my husband was about to get up and he saw a waitress cleaning one of the tables so he asked her whether it’s a table service or we had to order at the main counter and the lady said it’s table service and she will take our order in a sec and so we were waiting… then we saw more people being seated and were being asked what they would like to drink. 30 minutes had passed and not once the waitress came to us and we saw her attending to more and more tables that came after us. I got annoyed and walked out with such appalling service. I won’t be attending again. Whilst we were heading to another restaurant my husband and I thought, why were we treated this way? We weren’t rude, no nothing. Then we thought ahhh, maybe it was because we are were seen as a minority (asian), may be they don’t serve people with colour? I don’t know just no explanation as to why after 30minutes we were not attended to especially having a toddler with us that was hungry

Was in here yesterday morning. Was lovely to get into the warm after a walk around Ivel Springs.The service is very good, whilst the food is exceptional.Will be back and highly recommend ??

Superb environment. loved the record covers wallpaper in the loo they had. sad its gone! great service most of the time, lovely lovely food. great quality! ideal setting and without outdoor seating too. My fav go-to coffee n food venue locally.

The best cafe around by far!Whenever I have friends or family over this is my top choice of breakfast/lunch/coffee stop and I’ve been to all cafes in Baldock. The food is amazing, fresh, well presented and with top quality ingredients. I was a bit thrown when I moved here and found that something like this was in Baldock, expected to travel to the likes of hitchin or St Albans for it. It’s a cosy cafe with comfortable chairs and nice atmosphere.The cakes are handmade and they have a good selection instead of bought from Tesco which I’ve found from another cafe in Baldock..I just really like the effort put into the food and the menu. My sister is vegan and gluten free and she can never find anywhere to eat but I love taking her here and I get all the options I like too.There’s one female staff that I find a bit short /less friendly but honestly I love the cafe so much it isn’t a big deal and the male owner (I think?) is so lovely.Just a really nice place to eat or relax but it can get busy on the weekends obviously!
