A nice alternative to eating in the expansive main service station. Good food, friendly service. Quite quiet but it was Sunday night.

Not a busy night. Was greeted by friendly and personable member of staff. Order taken efficiently. Drink arrived then shortly after my meal. American hot pizza with a side salad. All good. Pizza was hot, tasty and crisp.

Consistantly great with fast attentive service and has a better atmosphere than St Albans or Radlett branches. Toilets need a bit more attention but this seems to be the case in all restaurantsKid-friendliness: Great for families with young children. Kids menu is great and can be adapted for fussy eaters

Ended up at South Mimms Pizza Express. We were all hungry but didn't have time for a sit down meal. I went in and ordered 2 pizzas (1 Gluten free) and dough balls to take away. It looked lovely inside and if we'd have had more time I would have been happy to sit and eat - it was clean and peaceful. I was using a stick and had parked down the path. The kind server actually carried the pizzas to my car so that I didn't struggle. They were hot, fresh and tasty and ready in 10 minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again. Excellent food and service.

cannot complain about service.it was fast enough for pizza.staff was caring and approachable.but... vegetable toppings were not undercook it was literally raw.like it has been added in the oven.the meatballs they used as topping were far from being quality.that was my first pizza express experience and will be the last.

Brilliant service, lovely young girls with good customer service. All had a smile on their face, the one young girl serving me seemed upset however managed to still do a brilliant job. Although, chef seemed rude and agitated with staff, and on top of that, witnessed her taking off her hair net multiple times whilst cooking the food which led to me finding a hair in my pizza.

The service was disgusting it took 35 min to get our order taken, and then another 10 min for drinks to arrive. (3 floor staff members 9 tables) The food wasnt very good. Pasta was either under cooked or left under a heat lamp for to long, the pizza tasted nice but one was lacking cheese. Will not be going back.

Burnt garlic mushrooms, cold and under cooked pizza and couldn’t even make a coffee. Someone definitely put the motorway services experience into pizza express, not the other way around.

Went last month the service was fantastic and friendly, food was good, also took half home. We left our daughters chilly water bottle and called them and they happily posted it to our home address as we live in Norfolk( they covered the postage) Was over the moon that they would go to that effort. Thanks pizza express

Got told there wasn’t taking anymore people to sit as too busy and under staffed, which is fine if that’s the case! So I went over to the main services building to get something else for dinner. To then notice they where seating people straight away about 5-10 minutes after telling me no!! Very poor service in my opinion and just leaves me thinking as I was only going to be a table for 1 they wasn’t interested probably not enough money for them only serving 1 person!! I even stated I was happy with a longer time to wait for the food etc as I’m staying in the hotel next door!

Pizza Express has the formula right, even works in a motorway service station. Staff were good, food was good, it was just all good. Nice to have some real food at the services rather than the usual dross.Kid-friendliness: Crayons and colouring in, staff were also friendly with the kids.

Pizza cheese or sauce not spread evenly, no condiments offered, had to get it myself. Staff were friendly which is the main thing for me. Decor was actually good.
