My family and I thought we would grab a bite to eat in Royston today and chose Tasty Bites. I’m sad to say it will be the last time I do. After ordering hot drinks and wraps for my husband and I and two portions of jam and toast for our children, we waited a long time and it was really cold in the cafe. My children kept their coats on the whole time and they never usually complain of being cold, often it’s the opposite. My veg and halloumi wrap was actually quite nice, but I was very disappointed that the children only received one slice of toast for £3 and no butter. When I asked for butter, the server brought over one wrapped pat and said that was all they have at the moment. Interesting, the other tables nearby who then ordered breakfasts were all given a bowl of butter so this was a bit of a mystery! £3 for one slice of toast is truly shocking and the cold temperature and having to use the toilet outside of the building on a freezing day was far from ideal.Note to all cafe’s, please don’t refill Heinz ketchup bottles with cheap vinagary tomatoes sauce. It is false advertising!

Lovely food, staff very nice, the cafe however needs updating, a lick of paint and some new furniture would be beneficial.

Good coffee and breakfast, would recommend to have iced coffee/tea or frappe as a menu option during summer.. :-)

This is one of Royston's gems. Amazing food cooked just how you like it.The coffee is gorgeous. As for the staff, they are lovely, I often stop when I'm passing just for a quick chat. Best egg and bacon roll I've ever had. I have introduced all my colleagues to a Tasty Bite and everyone has enjoyed what they've had. Keep making me smile lovely ladies.

Home from home cafe! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Perfect location in Royston and sensible prices! Cosy inside and felt so much nicer going to a small independent cafe over a larger chain! Food hit the spot for me and family, cooked well and ticked all our boxes!

Never knew it was there, what a lovely surprise I had toasted tea cake and a drink of chocolate. The wife had scrabbled egg on toast with coffee. Very nice meal indeed in very pleasant surroundings. We are visiting the area but will return before going home. We'll done excellent service with a smile.
