Excellent Sunday dinner. The food was exceptional and the staff were attentive and friendly. The best Sunday roast in St Albans.

Very interesting menu, our meals were excellent- all six of us had various starters, mains and desserts - delicious! Fantastic service too, thank you for making my birthday so enjoyable!

Not a visit again place, less than average and expensive for a basic pub. There are better options for food just steps away,I have no complaints but would not bother again.

Lovely roast dinner for two. Left it too late to book (do not make the same mistake as it is obviously popular) . However, helpful staff said pop by and we will try to fit you in. Found us a perfect table. Ample size, perfectly cooked meat and vegetables. Friendly good customer service. Excellent value for money compared with other local restaurants. Now going to be a regular visit.

Went for Sunday lunch. Good food, good service and reasonably priced.Vegetarian options: My wife had the "nut Wellington " and said it was really tasty.Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a nut allergy and the staff were extremely attentive to her needs.

We went last night as a group of 8. We had an exceptional meal along with very friendly service from Dora thank you. The menu is refreshingly different but includes the classics as well. We will definitely be back
Would highly recommend, amazing food and service and special mention to Dora who was absolutely fantastic. So nice to go to a restaurant and made to feel so very welcome

What a fantastic pub and restaurant this is. Its what a local pub should be about. Great food, friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere to both dine and enjoy a pint or two! Special mention to the Bar staff who were run off their feet yesterday but did an outstanding job. I had the trio of roasts with an extra Yorkshire on the side. I got a little bit greedy as it is honestly the best roast you’ll find in st.Albans in my opinion. Make sure you book though as they are always very busy. Can’t wait to go back!

God Sunday roast but menu like. However albeit slightly expensive but quality of food and service was great. Apple Crumble though was too sticky and needed the ice cream- not worth the £7 for it.

So had Sunday lunch here with my partner and her parents. It was very nice, but there were just a few small issues. These are really for the owners/managers to take note.1. 1 of the waitresses were not very friendly or helpful.2. Our bottle of white wine was not cold and we had to ask for ice.3. The Yorkshire pudding on our roasts were all cold. The rest of the food was really lovely, the place was clean and most the servers were very good.We will definitely return, I just hope they can pay attention to some of the smaller details.
