We had a lovely Sunday lunch for about 10 of us on Mother’s Day. The food was great with a wide range of options; the roasts were all tasty and came with lots of vegetables. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. It was very busy but all our food came quickly, at the same time, and hot! The dessert menu was full of delicious options. We will definitely come back.I loved the dog friendly atmosphere and the gorgeous resident dog!

This establishment does not cater for nut allergies, it’s a shame that this is not advertised anywhere. We orderd a round of drinks and sat down to look at the food menu. Advised the waitress if a food allergy her response was the kitchen is too small we can’t serve you. Shame because the waitress was really rude. No allergy training and we won’t be back!Dietary restrictions: Do not cater for allergies especially nuts!

From a quick round of the table, between the Italian me and the English/American/Scottish family, it emerged that the food wasn't that great. Not terrible but could have been better. The pub and area are nice.

We arrived as the restaurant opened. The staff welcomed us like we were royals. The fish was fresh, tasty and flaked beautifully. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Quality pub food and outstanding service. Nothing was too much trouble for the very attentive staff, who really made us feel welcome.

There are a few pubs serving food in the vicinity of The Queen’s Head, but we chose this one based on the Tripadvisor reviews. We were a group of 3 friends, reunited after many years, in the area to visit a 4th friend who’s been unwell. The cosy bar on arrival had a lovely open fire, the bar service was relaxed and congenial. The menu had lots of favourites and we settled for a selection of sandwiches and light bites. The food was very tasty and flavoursome and the table service was very welcome, allowing us to catch up without having to get up and down to the bar. Overall a very very pleasant lunch and reunion.

Really friendly and welcoming pub. Very bustling when we were here on a Saturday afternoon. Great place to come after a nice walk (and there are plenty of great walks nearby). The two lads behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful - we were really impressed. Looking forward to going back again soon.

We booked and went for Sunday "lunch". They offer two sizes of meal which was brilliant for my dad (he had a smaller version). We had chicken, lamb and pork and all were excellent. Tasty, good food. Desserts on offer were nice and I managed to get an upgrade to custard for my sticky toffee pudding- although I prefer mine a bit "datier". My dad loved the bread pudding and hubby loved the strawberry sundae. The staff are just lovely, warm, friendly and efficient. A nice olde worlde pub offering excellent fare! We will visit again.
