There are a few pubs serving food in the vicinity of The Queen’s Head, but we chose this one based on the Tripadvisor reviews. We were a group of 3 friends, reunited after many years, in the area to visit a 4th friend who’s been unwell. Really friendly and welcoming pub. Very bustling when we were here on a Saturday afternoon. Great place to come after a nice walk (and there are plenty of great walks nearby). The two lads behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful - we were really impressed. Looking forward to going back again soon.

We arrived as the restaurant opened. The staff welcomed us like we were royals. The fish was fresh, tasty and flaked beautifully. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
