I lived near Cheshunt back in 1989 and came back (from New Zealand) recently for a visit and a wander around beside the Lee River. The Fountain Cafe is just superb. Great service and really friendly staff. I had eggs on toast and a cup 'o tea at a table out on the pavement. Set me up for the day. Love this place!

Despite the great Google reviews and friendly wait staff, I found this cafe quite disappointing. We got the set breakfast and it was just meh. The worst thing was the bathroom. It was smelly and the timer light continually went off leaving you in complete darkness.

My dad & I have visited a couple of times now, both after a long old drive from the North-East to watch Tottenham play. We were blown away by the quality of the food & how reasonably it was priced. If I lived nearby, I'd be there every day. They have such a wide selection of food to cover the entire day, from your typical English cafe fayre, to Turkish delicacies & "proper" dinners. Even the tea & coffee was brilliant quality. If you want to be fully satisfied, know you've got your money's worth & be served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place.
