Do not go to this pub if you are not white. My partner went to collect our food order and was immediately greeted by a patron asking if they were a Deliveroo driver. This is purely based on his skin colour as there is no Deliveroo in Dane End.Staff did not intervene nor apologise on behalf of their disgraceful patrons. Will not return and will not recommend to anybody I know.

Our Club Stevenage and District Motorcycle Club held it's Monday evening ride to The Boot. We had three group rides ranging from 40 to 50 mile ride out. They knocked the ball out of the park again with the food laid on. Recommend ??

I visited for an evening meal with family (3 x adults, 3 x children under 7).We went on 'Pizza Saturday' and had a lovely time. Owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Clearly a friendly local pub with good quality and low-priced food (pizzas were just over a tenner). Beer was good quality as well. £55 covered all 6 of us, including drinks. Would definitely go again.Vegetarian options: We had vegetarian pizza. The host was very flexible.Kid-friendliness: We went with a 6yo, 3yo and another 3yo. They were welcomed, to the extent that the host brought over some games and drawing materiel (unprompted) when we arrived. Pub is relaxed and we all felt welcome.Parking: There were 10 or fewer spots out back. Not sure what would have happened if they were full, but I think there was also some parking on the main road at the front.

Wonderful pub that has a lovely tea room inside as well. Decorated with pretty flowers. Looks soo nice. And the lady was very friendly and welcoming. So helpful and accommodating. Homemade food which was delicious. Lotsa nice cakes & scones. Really nice. We had a lovely time.

Popped in here with my brother for a quick drink. The landlady and her daughter were so welcoming and friendly. They could not have been kinder and in a world where my rather eccentric brother can struggle to be accepted, I was so grateful for that kindness. A nice coffee, some beer and board games. This place deserves to do well. Thank you!

Came across this lovely little pub and teashop when looking for somewhere to have a sandwich on May Bank holiday. They were so welcoming. Lots of locals but very friendly. Lovely place to sit and relax for lunch which easily turned into a relaxed evening drink. We highly recommend
