We went with another couple on a Saturday to have the mezedes for 2, which I believe was around £35 a head.The Food: Amazing! Every course and dish cooked to perfection. Some things obviously weren't to my liking, but I still gave things a try etc.The Service: The waitress staff were smart, friendly and polite. My only negative would be that they were a little rushed, but I assume that was only due to the amount of people who were dining last night. (it was absolutely rammed)The Atmosphere: Electric! I believe there was 3 or 4 'parties' of people last night, 10+ people per group, plus quite a few of us small tables.The live music was great and set the scene perfectly. But when the tambourines came out, it was amazing!Probably not the level of noise an elderly couple on a romantic meal would like, but for us it was absolute heaven! ?To people worried about the noise, we were assured that it isn't normally that busy or loud there on a Saturday, but to be honest, it wasn't too bad at all. Just slightly difficult to have a conversation.So a massive thanks to the Village Taverna team, to the chefs, waiting staff, owner etc for an amazing night out.We will definitely be back!

Best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Food, service and ambience all impeccable. This is not your typical tired curry house. You won't find everything garnished with dead coriander leaves or stalks lol... Really enjoyed all the dishes.

We enjoyed a fantastic night at The Red Lion on Saturday night, great menu choice and the food was amazing, very tasty and good portion size, the staff were very attentive without being intrusive, we ordered a bottle of the house red wine which was really nice and the desserts were delicious. Highly recommended and reasonably priced. We will definitely book again.

Came for a Sunday lunch buffet and it was delicious! Very reasonably priced, nice selection of dishes and I enjoyed being able to have lots of different mains rather than just one. We also had a party member not keen on curry and they very kindly made a portion of fish and chips as well. Would recommend!Vegetarian options: Good selection of dishes for vegetarians

I booked this restaurant for a family meal to celebrate my wife's birthday (she loves Mexican food). There were 12 of us and we were seated downstairs on request to make a more private affair. The entire experience was wonderful. Good food and a warm service. One of the children has coeliac with the menu full of gluten free dishes, clearly labelled. Parking outside the restaurant has restrictions, however there is a pay car park a short walk away.Parking: Pay and display car park a short walk away.Kid-friendliness: We had 4 children in our party who can be quite loud. There were quite also quite a few children in our area. The staff were very good and accommodating.

First visit Friday 16/2. Initial impression was that the premises are in dire need of a refurb. Decor really is dated and tired as is the basic furniture. Service was warm and friendly but the highlight was the food. My partner and I shared three starters (calamari, prawns and bruschetta) all of which were delicious and the mains were wonderful too. My partner had the Sfizio chicken and I had a steak. Couple of beers and a bottle of wine and the bill came to just over £100 but felt it was worth it. Will definitely return.

I was craving a peanut butter milkshake and it was exactly what I wanted. I was so impressed that on delivery the top of the cup was covered with cling film to prevent it from spilling which I thought was very thoughtful.Now then the burgers!! Absolutely incredible!! The meat was of great quality cooked perfectly!! Amazing flavour! The buns were great and it didn’t fall apart!Chips tasted great and weren’t the worst I’ve ever had and portions were very generous!!We also ordered some wings which were incredible…huge amounts flavour!Make sure you check these guys out you won’t be disappointed!!

Checked into the room (twin double) little dated and tired around the edges but overall good size. Atmosphere was good as they had weddings taking place, customer service was great throughout. Breakfast was probably 1 of the best out of all equivalent hotels. Grounds are stunning!!!! Shame they don't do Sunday roasts on Sundays :( Kids and the Mrs loved it.....Have booked a few days over new year's at Hanbury and very much looking forward to it.

What a fabulous experience. Our family of 6 did not pre-book but were very welcomed. Our waitress Lucie was absolutely fab. Our children took an instant liking to her (age 8 and 11) and commented on how lovely she was. So very polite, professional and most of all friendly.
