Great pub with a range of good value, tasty lunch options. Smallish bar area, but restaurant attached. Outdoor seating.

We had an afternoon tea given to us as a gift and it was absolutely delicious. Very generous portions of a variety of sandwiches, cakes scones and jam and clotted cream. Tea or coffee too. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff and owners.

When I heard there had been a change of owners I went back to find it is now much better. Food, drink and service all better as was the wait for food. Well done ladies.

Booked a table on Friday for 1 pm actually asked if fish & chips was available this was confirmed. Arrived ordered and was told no fish & chips even though i had confirmed 3 hours before.Looked at very limited menu not as stated on web site ordered curry only to be told no curry. Not much left to chose left in disgust. This establishment will not be open long if it treats locals like this. Proprietor was person that took my call and confirmed F & C available. I will not return and will warn others about this disgusting establishment. Mr M R Hopper

A warm welcome on a chilly day. This pub has fairly recently changed hands, and the menu continues to develop. Local beers Tennyson or Islander on tap. Beef and Stilton pie was tasty, and tuna baguette sound. Cheesy chips may have benefited from being under the grill to melt the cheese. Above all, as nearby locals it was good to find the pub thriving.

No food on offer on a Monday so no stars - ?Great to see this pub open again with Nicky and her daughter, early days for them but a nice range of beers and a passion to do well with their Sunday lunches (sounds great) we’ll be back to eat soon as it’s so local and is a great little pub in a lovely village

Just as a spur of the moment we decided to go for a roast dinner and it has to be one of the best roasts out I have had for a long time 5 veg lovely beef and super roasties. The pub is coming on leaps and bounds with Nikki at the helm. Its nice to see a breath of life into a lovely old pub. Will definitely be going back on future Sundays for roast dinners.

Wonderful well maintained traditional pub, good beer and excellent food. Would recommendWheelchair accessibility: Agile wheelchair users will be able to navigate the pub although you will have to use the rear entrance to gain access
