My favourite go to pub in Cowes. Great atmosphere, nice food, brilliant staff and well run and managed. Andy the manager is a true gentleman and a huge member of community. A great way with him!

During my work trip to Cowes, I found myself in need of a reasonably priced dinner option, and Green King exceeded my expectations. Despite being unfamiliar with the brand, I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse menu offerings. From appetizing selections to flavorful dishes, the food surpassed my expectations. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Despite dining alone, I felt welcomed and cared for throughout my meal. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, seating me in a quiet area and regularly checking in to ensure my satisfaction.A special shoutout to the gentleman with the beard, originally from Lewisham but now residing in the Isle of Wight. His warm hospitality truly enhanced my dining experience, his genuine kindness left a lasting impression. In summary, Green King in Cowes offers not only delicious food but also exemplary service, making it a top choice for dining, especially for solo travelers like myself.

A wonderful historic coaching inn, with all the creaking and groaning of a property of such age. The staff are lovely and really good at sorting any problems out. Unfortunately, problems couldn't all be prevented in the first place, but are resolved asap.My room was on the second floor, and I stayed all week - so had two heavy bags with me - plan for this if you are not good with stairs or carrying luggage. The other thing is that my room had no wardrobe, so a week's worth of shirts etc was hanging off a rail on the wall. In a very small room. The property doesn't have on-site parking, so you have to unload in the ten minutes grace at the ferry terminal, then take the car to the recommended car park, which is free from 6pm to 8am, but a 10 minute uphill walk away.If you can live with all these things that may affect people with mobility issues, then it's an absolutely charming place to stay.

Ordered the sharing camambert with chicken, it took over an hour to come out and when it did the chicken was burnt and inedible.

Quirky pub and hotel. Rooms comfy. Food really good. Staff couldn't be more helpful.
