Average at best. £12.50 for 4 prawns on skewers as a sharing plate. The Moroccan chicken skewers with Cous Cous was below par and although presented relatively well it did not lend itself to the so called exciting dishes as advertised! The menu choices are not good and quite frankly sparse. The choice of desserts was disheartening, although reasonably priced. The drinks are expensive £3.50 for a half of Coke and £10 for a glass of wine is quite honestly too much. The Good friendly service from the front of house staff can’t be faulted. Average food at an above average price. Will definitely NOT be going back.

Superb Sunday lunch. We were a table of 8 and the service was amazing and the food stunning, big portions and a classic roast based upon locally sourced produce and elegantly presented. Definitely will return and sample the other delicious menu options. Kinga was a great hostess and the wine selections suggested delicious and priced fantastically

A really great Sunday roast if often hard to find. Look no further, a really great roast beef with all the trimmings and a very interesting caramelised shallot purée.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here during our stay in Cowes. Three of us shared six of the small plates / tapas. Made for a superb experience. We particularly enjoyed the tempura veg, gambas pil pil and the bang bang chicken bao buns. Highly recommend!

A mixed bag...It's a brave move to name a restaurant Gastronomy - it implies a high level of quality and expertise, and an experimental and challenging menu. The service was excellent, from when we were greeted, how we were served and the attention to needs and detail. The wait staff were very good. The food was a mixed bag. Straight to mains with two steaks, chicken and a flatbread. One of the steaks was great, the other had a lot of gristle - around a quarter of the steak. The wait staff were great and quickly offered a free dessert. The chicken was "okay" - the skin was highly seasoned and flavourful, though the meat was on the bland side. The flatbread was excellent, very tasty, beautifully presented and very enjoyable. All the food was presented really well, and all the desserts were lovely. The wine choice and cocktails were also really good.As we were finishing the meal, our end of the restaurant filled with a pungent smell. The staff agreed, and opened the main doors which did clear it to an extent, but it was very unpleasant.Steaks can be gristly, so it could be one of those things. Chicken can be hard to keep moist and flavourful. The aroma - one of those things? A shame. A mixed bag.

We had Gastronomy cater our wedding in September. We knew it would be great but we were actually blown away with the quality in food and in service. They went above and beyond and we are so so glad we chose them. If you are looking for a cater, Gastronomy are absolutely amazing!!

What a glorious meal . Our Sunday lunch was sensational. We have walked past to many times. But not anymore. So tasty . Served piping hot , with sumptuous cauliflower cheese .

Firstly, let me say that most of the dishes we were served were tasty and our waitress was pleasant and friendly, however the tempura veg was a disaster (apart from the dipping sauce accompaniment which was delicious). A tempura batter should be light and crisp but this was thick, hard and bordering on inedible ( we did, in fact leave most of it). The scallops were just a bit tiny, forlorn and overpriced. Out of the three desserts ordered only one (sticky toffee pudding and ice cream) came as described on the menu. The ice cream that came with the blonde was not honeycomb or at least no version of honeycomb any of us had ever come across and whatever the “crumb” was that accompanied the panna cotta it was very definitely not Biscoff as advertised. Importantly, I should say all three were yummy, just not what it said on the tin. As I don’t believe in giving a less than excellent review without saying something at the time and giving the establishment a chance to put things right, apologise or give their rebuttal I told our waitress that the tempura veg was very disappointing and again, after the desserts that they were not what we expected but we got no response apart from a sort of “oh, that’s a shame” sad face. The wine was excellent and good value at £30 but, wine apart, for the prices being charged their customers deserve better.

Lovely food, great service . Only one thing not so good was that the restaurant does smell of damp /drains when you go in which needs attention . Otherwise excellent

The food took some time to come but honestly well worth the wait. Freshly cooked and served with a smile.

We visited as part of a wedding party and we were very impressed. They changed my order last minute and the salad I had instead of fish and chips was amazing. Very yummy blueberry and feta. Very grateful for the effort.

Best vegan burger I've ever had in my life! Will definitely be back... Great vegan options (right down to the mayo). Would recommend to all!

I'd had tacos and nachos with guacamole from the Gastronomy food stall at The Isle of Wight garlic festival on Saturday. They were fresh, flavourful and delicious. We visited Cowes today (Sunday) and on the basis of my positive experience with Gastronomy food yesterday, decided to try out their Sunday roast. I had the roast chicken. The staff we're friendly, welcoming and attentive. Our meals arrived in good time, well presented and looked very appetising. All of the elements were excellent, greens cooked al dente, roasted carrots and parsnips, lovely crunchy/fluffy roasties, and the chicken meat was amazingly soft and succulent. Really glossy, tasty gravy, all topped off with a giant Yorkshire pudding, and a side of lovely, tasty cauliflower cheese. I would highly recommend Gastronomy.
