Excellent food and really friendly staff. We came over for the day from southampton and walked by this place after a look around the shops and all of our meals were delicious

I don't normally do reviews, but felt I had to give a good review after our visit yesterday. We went for the fish and chip lunch prior to catching the ferry. Probably the best fish and chip lunch ever. Crispy batter, white flakey cod, and crisp chips. Quick attentive service.Lovely. I was so impressed with the disabled loo.....or less able as they termed it. I am on crutches at the moment and have had some bad experiences with disabled loos. This one was ultra clean, modern, and just right. Thank you.

Really tasty burgers there. Good ales selection. Great variety of food - no one was disappointed in our group - we’ve tried pretty much everything from their “special” menu :)

Had a lovely steak, however it was ruined by being rushed out the pub straight after the meal as the staff wanted to shut early - it was only half past 8. The staff were unfriendly and service was very poor.

Went for lunch with my wife and some friends. A board outside advertised a small Fish and Chips with a drink included. The standard menu items were also available. All of us decided to have the fish and chips special, and we all raved about it. The chips were nice and crispy (no sign of oil anywhere), and the batter on the fish was done to the same high standard. We did however feel that the peas were pureed, rather than mushy. For an inexpensive meal, this was excellent.

Great location, food leaves a bit to be desired scampi and chips , a bowl of chips with 5 pieces of scampi on top, no garnish etc.Chips are obviously frozen, along with the scampi nothing home cooked. Service was good.
We went to celebrate our daughter’s, The service was really friendly and efficient, however the food was lacking flavour and choice for vegans.. it is really pricey for what you get. A vegan hallumi on a lava stone (3 smal pieces) which stuck to the stone and had the consistency of cream cheese.

The food is not great , scampi & chips was a dreadful let down ( 5 very small pieces of scampi sat on a plates of frozen chips ) the beetroot burger was bland and presented with frozen chips , unfulfilling and sloppy really do not recommend the food

Not been to the Global for a while and was pleasantly surprised with what happened to the place. Live music and great food added to compliment the great view from the 1st floor. Had the lamb from the on the rocks menu, expensive but worth it as special treat.

Lovely friendly welcome which matched the atmosphere of the upper stairs restaurant. Affordable menu equals quality food. Smiling waitress staff. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Great service and excellent food cooked to your own preferences on laver rock. The view of the harbour just to finish very nice would definitely recommend and the decor is really nice.
