I honestly can not believe the level of service I've just received. I wasn't aware customers are an inconvenience! The bacon roll was mediocre at best (although I was told "worth waiting for" sarcastically after standing there for 15mins waiting)The old women running the shop decided to give the gentleman working there a lambasting for reason not obvious to me and I actually on reflection, I question the cleanliness of the establishment.I'm all for island economy boosting but this shop can now go swing.

Breads are average. Woman serving was grumpy and rude. Customers seem to be a burden to her. Never going there again if I can avoid it.

Have been to many bakeries, some amazing and some ok, but unfortunately this one stands out as one with very poor pastries. So disappointed as the products from the outside of the place look very inviting and where the word "artisan" is used outside, it sets high expectations which couldn't have been further from being met. Pastries themselves are huge, but they just don't taste right. Service not great either so won't return and can't recommend.

We've been coming here over several years and love the food. The lady is a character but always comes up trumps. I particularly like the giant blueberry scones and the pastries are always a huge hit with the family.

Visiting the IOW from Hants.Rude, rude, very rude woman gatekeeper.Would have ordered bacon butty and coffee, but was cut short by the woman who had clearly not thought that customers who are insulted will leave and eat elsewhere. Now I understand why this business gets so many bad reviews, although I believed I should give them the benefit of the doubt. High time the IOW Tourist Board had a word with them.

Looks much better from the outside than what you find inside. If you’d like to meet the rudest woman on the island this is the place for you.Had an overpriced cheese roll that gave me indigestion. Avoid like the plague!

Dreadful! Overpriced cheese roll that gave me indigestion. The woman who served us was extremely rude. Was trying to support a local business but wish I hadn’t bothered. AVOID

We have chosen this place as we thought it was independent. My partner had a overpriced and not tasty roll. I tried to pick up a slice of pizza with the tongs provided and it literally crumbled. The woman serving shouted at me that it was not self service. I apologised and she went on saying that I damaged the slice of pizza. I replied that I was going to buy it anyway. I was further shouted at that the slice was not for sale but just for display and I damaged it. I left without buying anything. Where do you find a customer willing to buy whatever they have 'damaged' and clearly inedible and still be shouted at? Madam should rethink her career?

Great scones but the lady so rude beyond belief. I asked her for cake recommendations and she told me that "they don't do recommendations for what their customers eat" ?

I ordered a cheese and tomato cob. Huge roll slathered with thigh margarine, 1 thin slice of cheese from a packet - cheese curled at the end, and some roughly cut tomato slices. Inedible. £6-50. The lady did not wash her hands between servuce by coffee and cake to other customers and taking my cash to put in the till. Whole thing very off putting. Everything looks fresh but I watched the last take cakes out of plastic packets and sprinkle them with icing sugar rather than getting the fresh ones in the tray. She got my roll from a cool box or something and not from the rack of apparently fresh ones. It appears to be something which it isn’t and the roll was inedible. I didn’t have the nerve to suggest the lady washed her hands but I wish I had.

What a fabulous find. I followed the wonderful bakery smell in Cowes High Street to a shop with artisan breads, cakes, scones, meat pasties etc Great selection. Eat in or take away. Lovely man said the shop had been there for 12 years .. we will definitely be going back ?☕️???
