Really disappointed with meal. No flavour, runny gravy and Eton mess pudding trueky aweful, just merrangue and fruit, very dry with no cream. Won't go

We had the fillet and by far it is the best steak we've had! So tender. The Stilton and port sauce was delicious.Other members of the party had a array of different dishes, all looking absolutely divine.Great service, we were well looked after. Lovely atmosphere. A fantastic restaurant to visit

We went for the Christmas Dinner a few days before Christmas having booked about 2 weeks previously. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and as always the staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered from the set menu, but the choice was excellent. The food was really well presented, and the portions were generous. Could not fault anything about the evening. Well done Matt

Chose to visit again as we've never been let down previously. This time we opted for the set Christmas 3 course menu. It was wonderful. Prawn cocktail and spicy parsnip soup as starters. Both were delicious. Roast turkey for the main courses and again plentiful portions with the turkey being moist served on a bed of tasty stuffing. A separate bowl of potatoes and veg completed the mains. Took a short break before tackling one of the best desserts I've ever seen or tasted. A brandy snap like no other. All in all an absolutely fabulous meal. To match the meal the service was excellent throughout. Matt, Jodie and waiting staff, thankyou.

We’ve been visiting Burrs for last 10 years as a couple. It’s our “ special “ restaurant.. birthdays, anniversaries and valentines. The food is always superb, as is the ambience, wine and the team. Matt specialises in fresh, local and seasonal produce so the Menu is always different and cooked beautifully, with lots of different twists in the classics, it’s truly brilliant. Burrs is a hidden little gem on the island. If you love really good food, well priced for what you get and a lovely experience you can’t go wrong here. Thank you Matt and the team got an amazing anniversary meal. See you all soon!

Absolutely 5 star meal at Burrs for my birthday. Crab brulee followed by perfectly cooked filet steak that melted in my mouth.. Homemade breads and pickles. Puddings are delicious, all washed done with the best island gin and special wine...Honestly a truly amazing meal. Fantastic service with a joyful atmosphere........

Lovely meal at Burrs as ever. Their fillet steak is sublime and the Panna cotta desert was a work of art as well as the most delicious tasting desert I think I have ever had. Matt the owner is a great chef who engages with his customers and treats us like friends and his young dessert chef is a great talent. Our favorite place to eat on the Island bar none.

We booked a meal at The Burrs and it was superb, the restaurant is intimate and cosy with a really family feel. The food itself was beyond, we had the deep fried Brie and Crab brûlée (that is one of the most amazing crab dishes we have ever eaten) followed by salmon and duck. We then just about managed to cram in a pudding that we shared. The Burrs is clearly a five star restaurant and should be a destination for anyone on the IOW or coming to visit.

We enjoyed yet another first class evening at Burrs. As usual, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. They offer a three course fixed price dinner as well as an a-la-carte menu so the only problem we had was choosing what to eat as both menus had many of our favourite dishes. Our food was perfectly cooked, exactly to our liking and beautifully presented. The complementary warm homemade bread and olives at the start of the meal was a nice touch. The garnishes with our starters and the side salad with our main courses were works of art. They were packed with an array of very different, tasty and refreshing ingredients and brought a lovely splash of colour to the table. The tables are attractively set and the ambience is very relaxing so it makes for a great dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

I spent a wonderful evening at Burrs recently and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere is warm, charming and friendly, and the staff are outstanding. The food didn’t just look amazing, it tasted incredible too! The chef and his team do a remarkable job - I couldn’t choose a favourite from my three course, they were all absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend Burrs, and will visit again soon.

I have been fortunate enough to dine at some fine London restaurants, so I have some idea of fine dinning and culinary skills. The standard of food in presentation and taste is easily on par with some of the best food experiences I have every had. It's no wonder Burrs is rated so highly and deserves every credit. Its also nice to see a small traditional kitchen at work.
