Providence Corner, Wyld 1, 37 Pyle St, NewportI really can't thank the guys at Wyld enough for a great hen do, they really did go above and beyond.We had an afternoon tea buffet which was fantastic, beautifully presented and very tasty.Lots of amazing cocktails were served and loads of fun, singing and dancing throughout the evenings.Thanks again Josh and the team. We will definitely be planning more events with you.

Snacks and ladders is everything you hope it will be and more! A great place for a meal, massive choice of games and amazing house cocktails. Highly recommend for a group night out or just a quick coffee! No matter what the purpose of the visit, you'll be welcomed by the delightful staff with a smile!Dietary restrictions: From experience I can say they have great options for non-dairy versions of many items on the menu, I believe they also offer a range of gluten free options too!Wheelchair accessibility: Catering to all, snacks are fully wheelchair accessible, although there is a small set of steps near the entrance they have a ramp to allow access and also offer a fully accessible WC

44 Carisbrooke High St, Carisbrooke, NewportAbsolutely Exquisite, first time I've ever gone there; as only just moved into the area. The burger was phenomenal, cooked to perfection. Bacon was crisp and full of flavour, even the side salad was bloody lovely and I'm not a salad guy whatsoever dressing on it was delicious. Popcorn chicken cooked just right and full of flavour. Portion of chips was the right portion size which you don't see often nowadays! Staff were lovely in there and very welcoming, music was subtle and not modern music which was ideal for me. Will definitely be coming back again Parking: Paid car park just over the road. It's free parking for 1 hour too and believe me you will eat the food quick it's gorgeousKid-friendliness: I'd definitely bring my kids there, very welcomingWheelchair accessibility: It's all on one level right off the main road.

My tastebuds were coming alive even as I ate the bruschetta which was tasty and perfectly crisp (not crunchy) on the outside and soft on the inside.The staff were very attentive and it was lovely to chat to the owner too.If you're looking for somewhere to eat, this is the place.And nothing to do with this restuarant, but made me smile.I began speed reading, and just last night I read “The Da Vinci Code” in fifteen minutes.I know it’s only 4 words, but it’s a start.How I MarkI may mark differently to some other reviewers, some might see this as harsh, others may see it as fair. But here's how I look at it:5 star - WOW. I want to go back and look forward to doing so. They delivered everything expected and more. The 'more' is normally about the service or attitude of the staff.4 star - GOOD. They delivered everything I wanted and a bit more. I recommend them and would go back.3 star - OK. They delivered what I expected, I would go back if I needed to, although don't currently plan on doing so.2 star - Not very good. I didn't get what I expected and the service wasn't good. I don't recommend this place. I might get dragged back here, although will always try to avoid it1 star - This was rubbish. Don't go there, I certainly won't go there again. I didn't get what I wanted, the people were unhelpful and I didn't enjoy it in any way.Vegetarian options: I get tired of going to restaturants and only having one veggie option, with another five vegan options. I loved the selection here and look forward to returning.

IOW Pet Centre, Watergate Rd, NewportThe lemon drizzle cake tasted amazing and the view was absolutely stunning! I enjoyed my time at this cafe however i had to wait over fifteen minutes for a slice of cake and lemonade! The waitress was apologetic and understanding though.

My daughters absolutely love the milkshakes from here.My friend and I had a panini, cake and crisps with 2 drinks each during our lunch date. Couldn't eat the cake or the crisps as was full from the panini. Would recommend the watermelon green iced tea, game changer for me! Soooo good.The cakes always look so huge and delicious. Love supporting local businesses on the island. I never see this bakery/cafe not busy, which speaks volumes

They have a varied menu offering so many tasty treats, affordable pricing and also helpful staff.They also do delivery over a large range which is good, and I’ve always enjoyed various dishes they offer. The seating area is big and the restaurant has a cosy and fun atmosphere. I do indeed recommend this location and would take friends and family here! Thank you.

Foxes Rd, NewportThe cafe is upstairs via a huge lift. We went for breakfast. They have a fixed breakfast and a smaller one but are happy to take stuff off. They also have other options. The cafe was clean. Staff are very friendly. Food came out pretty quick. The food was good. The only thing that lets it down is you get 90mins in total parking. Enough for a meal but not enough to do a big shop after. We only needed a few things but were still watching the time. We'd go back to the cafe but only if doing a small quick shop.Parking: You only get 90mins in total.Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled parking outside. Huge lift from store entrance to cafe. Easy to get round. Tables are good for wheelchairs with free standing chairs.

Staplers Rd, Newportour family of 8 had a Sunday carvery. It was the best Sunday roast we've had in a long time. Generous amount of turkey, huge choice of vegetables, yummy cauliflower cheese & sauces. Such good value for money. We will be back and we also want to try the buffet breakfast! Beautiful surroundings too, plenty of parking, and friendly staff.

99 High St, NewportFood is superb. Lovely tasting Meat in the Burger, and juicy crunchy Chips! The Lounge Breakfast is also really tasty, with a good portion size. The Coke tasted quite watered down, but was still very refreshing. The restaurant is well presented/decorated, with nice music playing. The only bad thing I would say, is upon arrival, you are meant to wait to be seated, myself and my mum were just looked at and ignored. We therefore sat ourselves down, which I have no issue with, but to be looked at and ignored, I think because my mum accidentally knocked the door with her mobility scooter, is rather rude. Otherwise, all was well. Thanks

Newport ale house, 24a Holyrood St, NewportReal 'beer', real pub, super friendly. Those that know, know. (Walked in and felt like it was my own local- cask ales, pickled eggs, and some!) When visiting, do look at the vast arrays of beer mats, not one repeated. A must visit place in Newport for a good ale.

The Cafe
9D River Way, NewportStopped off here while riding around the IoW with my 4yo, mainly to get out of a heavy rain shower. Expected a standard greasy spoon, but was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent caff, serving great breakfasts - not greasy, good quality bacon and sausages, and friendly, helpful staff. If I'm ever on the island again, I'll definitely go back.

18 High St, NewportNice Chinese, we had the salt and pepper chips, salt and pepper chicken, young chow fried rice, BBQ sauce, and the mixed starter platter and some prawn crackers The mixed starter was good the bbq ribs, chicken satays & seaweed & prawn toast.The young chow fired rice was nice, a little dry for my liking but found the BBC sauce a bit sour but it accompanied the rice nice.The salt and pepper chicken and chips was decent.The Chinese was really nice and would go again if we visit the isle of wight in the future.

All freshly cooked at time of order by the most lovely, generous, chatty chef who just wants you to love Filipino food. This is a small family run restaurant that you can't leave without tasty food in your belly and a smile on your face.Vegetarian options: There's a good selection of veg options, but seeing as how the chef is cooking everything fresh, I'm sure she could swap any meat in a dish to be tofu if you so wished.Dietary restrictions: Chef cooks everything fresh, so you can request pretty much any alteration and she'll talk you through what dishes would work for you.

Ponders End
Ponders End, Burnt House Ln, NewportWhere to begin. This place is just fantastic.The room was great with everything you could want and more. We both got a very relaxing and wonderful nights sleep. Breakfast was spot on but probably the best part of all were the hosts David and Agnes. They made us feel like we were at home and their only interest was to make sure our stay was excellent. We will return to the IOW and this is where we want to stay without a doubt.

The Medina Railway Tavern
1 Sea St, NewportA traditional pub family friendly run by Duncan & Kate. Serving a good range of beers, ciders and spirits. The day we visited they had a live band who were brilliant. This pub has a lovely outside garden next to the River Medina. They also provide home cooked food, their pizzas are fabulous.
