Went for Sunday 'carvery', it was definitely an experience but sadly not a good one. Firstly the service was fine, no issues with that, but the food was poor quality & not good value at all. It isnt really a carvery, your meat, potatoes, gravy is plated and the other stuff is put on the table for you put on your plates. For £14.95 I would at least expect home made roast potatoes, but sadly they were Aunt Bessies or maybe own brand and it didn't stop there. The vegetables (peas, sweetcorn, spinach, red cabbage and broccoli) were obviously frozen, they were soggy, my niece, who loves broccoli refused to eat it as it was so watery, and the bowl the veg was served in had a puddle of water at the bottom. The cauliflower & leek cheese seemed to be homemade and was ok, but it was served with a big inedible burnt bit that could have just been removed before serving?! The stuffing was a sage & onion mix and the beef was very dry, I managed to eat some of it but my son, who loves roast beef said it was to dry to eat. The turkey & nut roast were fine, as were the parsnips. There were Yorkshire puddings that seemed to be homemade but they were under cooked and very stodgy, maybe some like them that way?! There are so many nice places on the island to get a homemade roast dinner, if that's what you are after then I wouldn't recommend this place, especially not at £14.95! I don't like leaving a poor review but if I had known the standard of food offered at this 'carvery' I would not have gone. It wouldn't take much to improve, but at present is very over priced considering most of it is frozen.

our family of 8 had a Sunday carvery. It was the best Sunday roast we've had in a long time. Generous amount of turkey, huge choice of vegetables, yummy cauliflower cheese & sauces. Such good value for money. We will be back and we also want to try the buffet breakfast! Beautiful surroundings too, plenty of parking, and friendly staff.

All you can eat buffet, what's not to like, right ? There are no table numbers so with the slowest coffee machine in the country the poor waitress has to remember who ordered what and where they were sitting, no mean feat. Our 2 tea's arrived (after asking) almost at the end of our meal. BTW the cups are small. Round 1. The plate for my buffet was a tea plate which I managed to load 2 hash browns and 2 eggs and a sausage now it was full but luckily there was no bacon, black pudding, plum tomatoes or mushrooms to be had anyway. Round 2. Some bacon and plum tomatoes..no sigh of mushrooms or black pudding still. They quote a relaxed atmosphere which it may be with fine diners on an evening but it was so noisy no conversation could be had I could barely hear myself think. Basically as a restaurant it's probably good but for an open door breakfast buffet it was pretty poor. We were told they were short of staff but to me it looks like poor organisation. Table numbers, proper plates, tea shouldn't have to wait for the coffee machine, sufficient food items available

Great to spend a Sunday Morning taking the kids for a Pony Ride next door then stopping here for breakfast after. The breakfast was by far the best I’ve had on the island, I think the other review is a little unfair as £1.50 for a hot or cold drink is not much, most places charge £3 - £4 for a latte! Service was great and the whole place including the toilets were exceptionally clean and tidy, very lovely decor. We will most definitely be returning again! Keep up the good work guy’s and gals and take no notice of the haters ?

It was a £10 all inclusive buffet breakfast which was very nice BUT we had to pay £1.50 each for a small cup of tea I always thought inclusive buffet meant just that unless they change that we will NOTbe going back

We went for my granddaughter’s graduation lunch. The staff had put bunting etc up the area where we sat. Food was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Thank you very much.
