I was not expecting to be served food as good as I got. This place is something quite special, and the best food we've had on our short stay in Newport and probably much much longer. All freshly cooked at time of order by the most lovely, generous, chatty chef who just wants you to love Filipino food. This is a small family run restaurant that you can't leave without tasty food in your belly and a smile on your face.Vegetarian options: There's a good selection of veg options, but seeing as how the chef is cooking everything fresh, I'm sure she could swap any meat in a dish to be tofu if you so wished.Dietary restrictions: Chef cooks everything fresh, so you can request pretty much any alteration and she'll talk you through what dishes would work for you.

Well what can I say, we booked in at 8.30pm on Saturday evening what a lovely restaurant, I would highly recommended to anyone!All food was freshly cooked to order and tasted amazing!!Nothing was to much trouble the staff are so friendly ... especially the lovely lady who does all the cooking ❤Thankyou so much for a great evening! We will be back soon x

We go here often. We love the atmosphere, the staff and absolutely the food! Kris is the most amazing woman ever!!!! We can even order our favourite starters - Squid - ahead of time to ensure there is enough for us when we get there. We try everything we can on the menu and we have yet to find something we don't want more of, the only problem we have found, is running out of room to eat more... Honestly cannot praise Kusina's enough. Our favourite place to go and we hope that it is here for ever more!

First time trying Filipino cuisine, and it will not be the last. The meal I had was so delicious, I plan on eventually working my way through the entire menu. I grew up on a small family pig farm, so I know what fresh pork tastes like, and the pork belly was about as fresh as it gets. And the ube cake is absolutely unreal. Our waiter was very sweet, but could maybe do with paying closer attention to the customers. Overall very nice meal. I will definitely be back!

Wow what a lovely experience! Our first time trying Filipino food since we were little and the dishes were absolutely delicious! So much flavour and freshness! The portions were great we were so full after but decided to take some cake home to have later - again it was delicious! Will definitely make this a regular when we come back for our holidays, we’re craving the Manok Inasal already! The service was very welcoming and friendly and it was great to chat to the owners. We had a lovely time and can’t wait to return. Thank you!
