“My only complaint is that after coming to the island many times over the last 35 years, we never knew about this place! What a fantastic find! The welcome was friendly, service second to none and food-wise was one of the best meals we’ve had and certainly the best during our holiday. To top it off the views are something else!”

“A lovely pub in a small village. We always book up for the Sunday roast. A decent size. We had the trio roast. The meat was lovely. Roast potatoes were good. Proper roast potatoes not of those silly roasted small new potatoes that some places do.
Roast parsnips , broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, stuffing, mash potatoes. And of course the large Yorkshire pudding.”

“Amazing food, wonderful service. The fish was really good, it has a great kids menu (our 5 and 2 year old cleaned their plates) the gluten free options were great, could order so much off the menu. I'd particularly recommend the cajun salmon.”

“GREAT PLACE ... We were just strolling around and found this place, DOG FRIENDLY which was essential for us. It was a nice day so we sat outside, great views and the food was lovely. Service was excellent, they also had a very prominent Alcohol Free Beer range which was displayed on the bar, not seen that before. i was driving, so it was nice to have a few cold beers and still be legal! Overall, a very nice visit, highly recommended.”

“No trip to the island, is complete with out stopping here at least once. Over the years we have been coming here, when the owner or other long term members of staff are working. They always come and say hello, ask us about our trip. Even the new faces to us are very polite. I don’t think service is slow here when they are super busy ether, the food is always piping hot, all are meals are served at the same time “handy if you wanna say grace, we just wanna tuck in personally”

The food is always cooked how we like it, a great selection of options. The selection of beer is very good, my partner says the same for the cider. We’re not wine drinkers so can not honestly compliment them.

It’s always clean and presentable, plenty of parking space. If you haven’t already visited the little gem of the island then what you waiting for.

There big breakfast is always a favourite on the last day on the island. Will set you up a treat”

“We went at short notice for Sunday dinner. Staff welcoming despite the fact that we had not booked. A traditional roast dinner with a choice of 4 meats. Big portion, cooked just like your grandma would have done it in her prime. We were fed up, as our day had not been working out so far. You really saved it. Thanks so much”
