Wow! Went here with friends for our Christmas Dinner, we went in 2022 and we had to go back! We also went for our work admin meal.... both times the ...... The food 5* The service 5* The drinks 5* The price.... can not be beaten for the quality of food and the portions were huge! The food was amazing and lots of it. Festive fair menu was amazing and most importantly affordable. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. All round fabulous nights! Thank you x

My partner, my two young sons and myself had our Christmas dinner on Christmas day and cannot fault the food, service and atmosphere. We arrived for our sitting and within a few minutes we had our starter served, nice and hot etc. Both the boys were catered for on the menu which we booked and arranged in November and everything was spot on. A special mention regarding the turkey which is absolutely superb, falls off the fork, not dry at all and matches up to when we had a turkey dinner at the Crab last November. The dinner as a whole was great, healthy portions and hot. Also a mention to Joe and the rest of the staff who looked after us on the day, very good service as always. Would thoroughly recommend visiting for a meal any time of year but the turkey roast is excellent. Many thanks guys. Graeme and family.

7 of us went for xmas day lunch now I must tell you first of all the Staff were great but the xmas day dinner was a disaster the only person in the group who said it was ok was the one who chose a steak my wifes meal was a complete disaster she dont eat veg or cheese or fish so they said she could have garlic bread starter sorry to say it was not garlic bread her dinner when it came out was smaller then a child portion ok not their fault she dont eat veg but least they could of tried to build it up a little extra roast potatoes couple of pigs in blankets maybe it wasnt just my wifes meal it was 5 other people who complained on our table xmas pudding it was a slither on a plate with custard non existant almost £60 pp we gave for the worst xmas day lunch we have ever had also 1 other complaint I they owed me £10 from a cancellation in our group when I called to cancel their booking i was told I would receive their deposit back guess what I'm still waiting

Fabulous evening! £20 for a 2 course meal, glass of Prosecco, tray of mince pies and chocolates as well as entry into the quiz. Everyone agreed that it was a brilliant night and amazing value for money.

Went with my choir to the Turkey & Tinsel lunch. Three courses, live entertainment, bingo, food was very good and the staff were friendly, we all had a very good time. Will definitely be visiting again.

We visited for drinks on Friday night. There was a singer on so the pub was really busy, there was a great atmosphere. Drinks prices are good and the staff were cheerful/friendly. Highly recommend, the best pub in the Old Village.

Excellent Tinsel and Turkey event on 5th December. Three course meal, games of bingo with extremely generous prizes and entertainment from ‘Short and Sweet’ singing festive songs as well as hits from the 50’s to the 80’s - all for just £15 per head. Will be visiting the Crab Inn again over this festive season as they have loads of other events advertised on their website. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. The Off Key Community Choir.

We ate twice here over our trip to the Isle of Wight. It presented good value for a family of four with the pub classics and we came back for a roast on the Sunday which was excellent. It was a Nice and clean pub, in a good location with friendly helpful staff. If we come back to Shanklin we will be back to the crab.

This is a lovely pub, serving in our experience, freshly cooked and excellent value food. How on earth could anyone complain about two main meals for £16.50 (14.99 if you choose differently) Both meals very good, and well presented. Thoroughly enjoyed, if a little too much - so very good value for a hearty appetite.Staff are always friendly and welcoming - even under pressure.This property desperately needs investment to support the staff who are clearly working so hard, and the visitors who flock to the Old Village expecting a bit more. Come on Greene King!!! You have the staff and the food. Invest some money and make The Crab THE place to visit in Shanklin
