We visited the Hamborough for my birthday and our wedding anniversary combined. This was our first visit to the restaurant and it certainly won't be the last. The service was excellent and the talented chef managed to bring out some amazing flavours in all three courses of the high quality food. We would highly recommend visiting the restaurant;you won't be disappointed.

I love this hotel. Me and my husband stayed for 6 days. I can't say enough good things. The staff are amazing, the breakfast was the best I've ever had. The room was lovely with a great view of the sea. I would highly recommend it. The location is perfect for the beach and shops/restaurants A*****

The good food guide is SO RIGHTHaving read the glowing article by the good food guide a committed foodie like me just had to visit!Its important to me that I gave a balanced credible review after 1600+ reviews with 105 michelin stars.The menu isn't huge but it didn't need to be.Starter was a superb cured trout with delicious dressing.Main was one of the best halibut dishes I have ever eaten. Stunning cookery and beautifully crisp skin.The dessert was a dark chocolate milk feuille texturally superb with amazing flavours too.Toilets clean and well presented.If I was to offer any criticism at all, the waitress is hugely enthused by her role that she generally does well, but maybe tone her engagement down one notch?Huge kudos to chef, wonderful food

Hadn't been back to the IoW for over ten years but last time we visited The Hambrough and it was superb.I'm glad to say it's still #1 of IoW restaurants with lovely ambience, staff and food.Mustn't leave it so long next time!

We were pleasantly surprised by the minestrone dish which was extremely fresh with wonderful flavour. Each element could be tasted. Smoked salmon excellent. Duck perfectly cooked, melted in your mouth. Black Bream exceptional, exactly right, taste and texture perfect with a delightfully crisp skin. Blueberry ice cream and Mille/feuille excellent, but additional macerated blueberries and little less chocolate would be preferred just for our taste.

Everything about our evening was lovely. Absolutely wonderful staff and lovely ambience; classy without being stuffy and a very knowledgeable team. We absolutely loved the food and the drink and would highly recommend trying it out. Thank you :)

Really good quality food that was excellently presented. The service was friendly & efficient. I would have rated the food higher if there had been more vegetables with the main dish/an option for additional veg' on the side. As it was the portion of pork that I had was much more than I could manage. We were fortunate to have a window table so we had an excellent view of the sea.

The menu choices were creative, but not 'West End' pretentious. We really enjoyed every course in a relaxed environment . The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. The Hambrough is unquestionably the best restaurant on the I.O.W.
