Visited for lunch today (6th) to celebrate a friends birthday. Sometimes, after Christmas, it's difficult to find somewhere that's open, and the staff aren't jaded from a busy Christmas and New Year. Not so at the True Food Kitchen. Great menu selection, food freshly cooked, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, service attentive, and the chef came over to chat at the end. We look forward to visiting again.

All the 'small plates' were very small so expect to be ordering at least three per person which will make your meal surprisingly expensive. Also, ask to have the dishes served individually otherwise some will be cold. We enjoyed the lamb belly and the beef ragu and I enjoyed the cheese platter at £12.

Again a totally outstanding Evening from Adam and his team. All I can say was the Xmas eve tasting menu was truly outstanding along with the front of house team, absolutely brilliant.

We went for the New Year's Eve taster menu between Christmas and New Year And we weren't disappointed Great food over 7 courses with a great red to go with it We've previously been to their Castlehaven Beach Hut which has been amazing And this is as good

Incredibile, the best place to eat on the isle by far. Brilliant staff, great atmosphere. But the food and drinks are out of this world. I would recommend the cocktails. Frankly I'd recommend the whole menu. I'm excited to go back to try more of it. 10/10

From start to finish, my girfriend and I had a wonderful meal, excellent service, food, cocktails, and general ambience. The menu takes inspiration from the Far East and is heavily focused on fish dishes. Everything and I mean everything was amazing. Enjoy!

We were staying at the nearby The Terrace hotel and chose to eat here to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We had a fabulous meal. The service was wonderful - attentive but not imposing. Every single dish was absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented. There’s a lovely cosy atmosphere in the restaurant. This restaurant is a great asset to Ventnor and the Isle of Wight!!

Second time at True Food Kitchen with friends for dinner. I was a touch apprehensive as I was wowed by tempura lobster last time we came here more than a year ago - it was going to take some beating. Fortunately, I needn't have worried! My husband had the steak while I had the special yellow thai curry with seafood. Both meals were exquisite... my mouth is actually watering now as I recall the flavours. I am a fan of spice and the curry had the perfect hit without overpowering the flavour. Service was brilliantly executed with perfectly timed check-ins and drink refills. We opted to save space for dessert over starters and that was indeed a very smart move. Husband had sticky toffee pudding which he has spoken about every day since out visit - while I shared the doughnuts and peanut roulade with my friend. Just perfection and so grateful to have this close to home. A must visit for a meal to remember on the Isle of Wight.
