“We've been to the Powell on a few occasions this year, while we have been planning our wedding at Chapel House Estate.Every time we've been there we have felt so welcomed that it feels like we're locals, even though we live 100 miles away!We booked out all 6 rooms at the Powell for our wedding guests, who all could not speak highly enough of the comfort and service provided during their stay. One of our family members who is just over 6'7 even said the beds were big enough or him! Which was a joy and surprise for him!We've eaten at the Powell as well on a few occasions and the food is always exceptional! Byron, the owner and Head Chef never makes a bad choice when it comes to food! And we can't wait to visit one of his other pubs and restaurants in the future.We also decided that it would be the perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner the night before, and the team at the Powell couldn't have been more accommodating to us, allowing us to take up their restaurant space for the evening! 30 of our close family and friends all in one place, getting ready to celebrate our marriage together was just wonderful.My only downside to The Powell is that it is so far away!! We both wish that we could be true regulars to this fantastic place!!”
