This wine bar is local to us but we have only just started to use it regularly again after a couple of disappointing visits. Hubby and I went a few weeks ago for lunch after seeing a post on FB. We chose the ploughman's which we shared along with a portion of chips. It was great value for money. Then a couple of weeks later when with friends for Sunday lunch possibly one of the nicest we've had out even though was far to big for me to finish.we popped in again earlier this week and had a lovely burger. Very friendly staff. Live music on Friday evenings. Small garden at the rear. Definitely worth a visit

Visited Christies today for Sunday lunch with the family. We had starters and main course, and no room left for dessert! I had the garlic mushrooms to start which were delicious, my partner had the King Prawn Cocktail- fresh, juicy king prawns. For mains I had the roast pork belly, perfectly crisp crackling on top and the pork itself literally melted in my mouth. My partner had the roast beef which was served pink as requested, and quite honestly cooked to perfection. Plenty of vegetables, potatoes and the homemade Yorkshire puddings were amazing! The cauliflower cheese was the best we've had. Service was excellent from start to finish, waiting staff were polite and very attentive. Fantastic pint of Real ale and my wife tried a few of their cocktails too, great experience and we will definitely be back, thank you Christies, best roast in thanet by far!

Had an amazing roast lunch today with family who were visiting. I am allergic to onions and the staff were so helpful in what I could eat. Their cauliflower cheese really is the best as an extra side . We are looking to going back soon. Thank you to all the staff.

Absolutely the BEST ROAST EVER!!! Christie's is a fab, friendly venue with wonderful, attentive staff who simply can't do enough for you. Thank you all! Finlay, the Yorkie-poo adores it here too!

Sunday lunch with friends. The baked Camembert starter was cold in the middle. The roast dinners. Vulgar. Far too much piled on the plates. I ate a third. The roast potatoes had definitely been sat around. The belly pork not crispy, but chewy. The lamb too fatty. The meal was not nice and hot as I thought.m it ought to be. Service was good the food a little disappointing. The cauliflower cheese was like a puree, no florets. Pub grub and not the best.
