We had afternoon tea, there's a choice of fruit or plain scones, strawberry or blackcurrant jam, also a choice of cake. The food was very nice, and the service was very good.

Lovely little cafe with wood burning stove that was actually lit (take note Pizza Express Canterbury!). Friendly and welcoming staff. Only had a latte this visit but will definitely be back to try some cake.

We went to a party night (dinner/disco) as a large group of friends. Having been to larger venues, it was lovely just to have the place to ourselves. The staff were v friendly, organised and attentive. The food was v good and came to the table hot. The DJ played what we like and we danced a lot and had a good night at a good price. We've since discussed tweaking the seating plan and would definitely go there again.

Very disappointed in the party night. Having often been to the cafe previously run by the family now at Fields I was expecting a nice evening with great food. When my friend and I arrived on time there was only one table for 4 left right away from the other tables. We were joined by a couple of other ladles who felt the same as us that we were not part of our group. In the area we were sitting there was a guy sitting drinking tea he was on his phone had slippers on this made us feel quite uncomfortable. He and the waitress also had a meal sitting there . The owners both came and spent time with him but didn't come round to any of the tables. The guy sat there all evening. They ran out of wine glasses and despite having paid corkage it took a while to find a corkscrew and then someone to open the bottle. The food was OK but not what I was expecting. The disco was good but not really enough space to dance. I do think that the family should stick to what they do best run a very good day time café.

We were all in our lunch break from work in Birchington, and everything took far too long. Disappointing. We'll stick to Zara's and Felicity's Cafe in future.

The crushed avocado with sun dried tomatoes, black olives on toast with a drizzle of balsamic dressing is my favourite, but there are alot of delicious dishes on the menu. I bought one of their yummy cakes It will take me about a week to eat it! (Pen in pic to give some scale!)

Popped in to see if we could get a table for lunch. Received a frosty reception, asked if we had booked & told nothing available. I appreciate we should have booked but think customer service needs some attention.
