Decided to try this place this Tuesday due to my favourite Chinese being closed. I won't be going back, unfortunately the food was awful. The chips we ordered were soggy, clearly being cooked in old oil and were drenched in grease. The chicken balls were tiny and were probably the worst I've ever had. The coating wasn't crisp as it should be, again soggy and greasy. The crispy chilli beef was also not good, I can't describe the taste but it wasn't pleasant. The only saving grace was the egg fried rice which was OK but to be honest I've had better.I wouldn't recommend this takeaway, there's many better in the area.

Bought just barbecued spare ribs this evening. The service was quick even though I ordered it, popped into the local shop then came back and it was ready. I found it extremely disappointed in the end as the sauce was so runny, hardly any flavour and not enough meat, not nice and too much fat, including one large piece of fat. £6.00 wasted! I have been to a better one. Not worth going there and I do not recommend it at all. Sorry

Not the best Chinese in the world but passable

Decided to try duck chow mein and kung po beef for a change. Pleasant surprise with the smokey flavour of the duck. The kung po was not as hot and spicy as some ive had but still a good flavour.

Best of the 3 Chinese takeaways in the village

Been using this takeaway all my life, always delicious and never lets us down! Other Chinese takeaways in Thanet don’t compare to new dragon!

£9.30 for a Duck Curry and Fried Rice, quite expensive for the area, and only of average size and quality. The Duck pieced were roasted, but appeared to be leg meat, not breast. The sauce and rice were tasty enough, fresh and with no lumps, service was polite and fast.

The best meal we have ever had from a takeaway. Lots of good for the price. Will be returning very soon.

Fairly standard Chinese take away with the usual menu you would expect from a small, local fooderie. The service was good, the food was average in appearance but tasted good, the menu is not in any way adventurous and caters for the locals who prefer the usual menu entries. The portions were not as large as some Chinese take aways but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Prices are average and are about right for what you receive. Parking can be a bit tight as the shop is on the corner of a main route. All in all, a reasonable take away, you may find another that serves your favourite dish in your favourite way but The New Dragon is worth a punt to see if they do what you like best. Convenient and handy for a quick dash if you're hungry.
