Very average pub redeemed by its stunning location on the clifftops overlooking Kingsgate Bay. Outside seating highly recommended on dry, sunny days. Small soft play inside is useful for parents. A handy pit stop if you're cycling along the Viking Coast trail.

My advice to you is shut up and put up, chef does not like criticism and if you are fortunate enough to hear this you may feel like you are in an episode of Hells Kitchen, chef puts Gorden Ramsey to shame, the added bonus is staff members who have clearly heard this accuse you of being the liar, darn those voices in my head but it's fine because they didn't say the word liar

Kid-friendliness: Play area inside and out

Beautiful view, very friendly waitress and the food was better than our menu at Jamie Oliver's!
Visited from Portsmouth for family birthday, we had a large group (16) and I have to say the food, staff and service was fantastic. Everybody's food came out at the same time the staff couldn't have bn more helpful and all the staff even joined in singing happy birthday...it was a brilliant night n highly recommend.Parking: Big car park to rear of restaurantKid-friendliness: Kids allowed

Great food, but not dog friendly. You can sit outside though, and the view is fantastic ?

Pleasant pub lunch, excellent play facilities for kids, very family friendlyVegetarian options: Not a huge selection of veggie options, but the pasta dish was nice, they will do the roast with a vegan burger patty as the veggie roast option if you askParking: Easy to park in car parkKid-friendliness: Great soft play for kids, even a separate smaller area for under 3s, highchairs available, multiple baby change facilities, kids menu available, crayons and colouring provided and staff were patient with kids wandering about

Myself and the wife had the pleasure of visiting Captain Digby’s on Saturday evening. The staff lead by Tracey were brilliant, attentive and most helpful. The food was just amazing, the taste buds were spoilt that evening! Oh and very generous portions. We definitely be going back
