Wonderful pub with such cool atmosphere. Serving very nice ales as well as food and other stuff. Staff is very much friendly and always ready to help you. This place is heaven for sports lovers because of big screens to enjoy sports. If you around then give it a go as I did for my first drink ?

Nice little bar, we didn't have food but it was the Christmas season so the bar was busy but service was very good.

Had one of the best Sunday roasts ever.......went for half roast chicken, which came with 5 large roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding, yummy honey glazed carrots and parsnips, side plate of red cabbage green beans and swed mash....and the gravy was to die for all homemade, so flavoursome ?even brought out extra gravy. Then had to try the pudding (shared as was so full) and went for triple choc brownie with clotted vanilla ice cream ?. The staff were attentive and price was reasonable, especially for being in the centre of Canterbury. Will definitely be returning very soon.

I used to frequent the Bishops Finger pub in the early 1970s so it was not a difficult choice to have lunch there. We were very impressed by the menu and in particular the fish options, which turned out to be excellent. The staff were friendly and as it was so quiet, were attentive to my recollections of a bygone era. It took longer than we expected to receive our food (we were hungry!), but it was worth it. Haddock, chips, mushy peas and a pint made for a great lunch. Very reasonably priced too. This was a case of ‘simple things done well’.

After a hard day's work, it's great on the odd occasion to unwind and watch football with friends in pleasant surroundings. This is one of those places. Nice bar, great staff. Great selection of wines, spirits, and beers. Good food, too.

Only a few people in the bar but still had to wait for service.
