I chose Kathton House at the Tyler's Kiln for my birthday dinner as we'd been meaning to go for, probably, 3 years. Their move to the Tyler's Kiln meant we had a 10 minutes drive rather than 25 mins to Sturry, so we had no excuses! It was a quiet night but we were made very welcome and had a great time. We had a lovely meal here with friends. It is very small in the upstairs dining area and does lack a little ambience however the service was fantastic. We had the tasting menu with paired wines and the staff were very knowledgeable. The tasting menu portions, whilst 'tasting', were tiny I'd say 2-3 mouthfuls for the entire plate.
