I have had the pleasure of dining at Spice Shree on several occasions, and I must commend the restaurant for its exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. The team consistently upholds a high standard of hospitality, ensuring that guests feel welcome and well-cared for throughout their visit. Moreover, the restaurant's commitment to maintaining impeccable hygiene standards is evident and greatly appreciated. While I have found the overall dining experience to be enjoyable, I must admit that the flavor profile of the food does not entirely align with my personal preference for authentic Indian cuisine. The dishes, while well-prepared, seem to incorporate a blend of Indian and British flavors, which may not appeal to those seeking a more traditional Indian taste. Furthermore, the curries, in particular, seem to lean towards a Bangladeshi flavor profile, which may not resonate with patrons expecting a more diverse representation of Indian regional cuisines.Regrettably, the restaurant's location on North Gate Street presents a notable challenge, as finding suitable parking in the area can be a real ordeal. This aspect of the dining experience has detracted from an otherwise positive impression of the establishment, and I believe that the restaurant could greatly benefit from addressing this issue to enhance the overall convenience for its patrons. In conclusion, Spice Shree has much to offer in terms of its warm and attentive service, as well as its commitment to hygiene and cleanliness. However, a greater emphasis on delivering a more authentic and diverse range of Indian flavors, alongside efforts to mitigate the parking challenges associated with its location, would undoubtedly elevate the dining experience for guests.

I can honestly say with my hand on my heart this is one of Canterbury secret gems, absolutely fantastic food I could not fault one thing absolutely amazing. I’ve tried the other restaurants in Canterbury I’m not going to name names but there is not one and I mean not one in Canterbury and outside areas that come close to this. This is seriously a really good food restaurant looks can be deceiving which is what I say about the others, but this one I really cannot praise it enough. What am I phone East had was in London about six months ago and this is seriously up there with that I would highly recommend even just a visit to make your own part of you, but I cannot forward it in anyway and would highly recommend it to anybody all I can say to anyone who’s reading this please give it a go if I’m wrong just say but I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I hope this helps all of you friends ???

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and wasn't disappointed.Very good food and friendly service makes this the sort of place you would definitely go back to.Only comment I would make is that I'd prefer a table cloth and napkin. This would certainly enhance the restaurant more.

Excellent food. Nice, polite and well mannered staff. This year in September we went there all the way from Mitcham to celebrate my 70th birthday. I was deeply honoured the way the staff welcomed me when they came to know its my birthday dinner.

An absolute gastronomic delight. My first visit to this establishment was an utter treat. The food was sublime, the service superb and the overall experience, exceptional. I can highly recommend this restaurant with prices which will suit your pocket.

Quiet restaurant, should have seen the warnings. Very bland and tasteless. Keema naan like a bad kebab and onion bahjis taste like they are from a supermarket. Very disappointing since the other reviews are quite high.

Fabulous. First time here so didn't know what to expect. I only booked because somewhere else was full... so glad that happened. Really good food, best I've had in ages. Staff friendly and helpful. Really good value. Thanks everyone.Vegetarian options: Like most Indian restaurants, the vegetarian selection was good. The paneer dishes were particularly good. ?

Just had one of the best Indian meals locally in years. What a breath of fresh air to have good service and quality food. Really friendly staff and very clean and tidy environment. The food was very tasty and generous portions. Will be back next week!

I went with my friends here to try indian food for the first time and I got one of the best experiences ever at a restaurant.Staff was super nice, the establishment itself looked great and the food was amazing. Prices are not that bad either.Might be coming back, definitely recommend.

Great flavours with the dishes. Staff are polite. However, what let it down was when the waiter brought the curries to the table, forgot our rice and saag bhaji, but I reminded the waiter. He returned after a few minites with only the rice. I prompted again about my side dish, which he then said wasn't on the original order our waitress took, but went back to the kitchen where it was made fresh. Unfortunately by the time it arrived, we had finished our meal. I ate the side dish alone (was nice quality but if I had waited to eat it with the rest of my main, the meal would have been cold). The waiter did apologise for the delay, stating they were busy. The restaurant was not even half full though. We had been in the restaurant for 50 minutes by the time our mains arrived. We had only had 2 poppadoms to start between 2 of us during that time; so I felt the service was a little slow.
