I've only dropped a star, because I'm a bit of mizzo and not keen on wetherspoons, mainly because our local one is a shocker. This one isn't, it's in a beautiful old building and has lots of cozy nooks and crannies. Warm atmosphere, friendly, efficient staff and the food is still good value for what you get.

Not a bad place to call in for a pint. The beer was good and as always the prices are fantastic. It is a bit cluttered meaning you do feel like you're sitting on top of each other a little.

Avoid like the plague if you’re looking for a welcoming atmosphere. The management are abhorrent and ruined Christmas drinks with my work colleagues by telling me to leave because of an association with someone who had a fight outside of their pub last week. I’m 42 years old and have never had any trouble in a pub, and had nothing to do with any trouble the previous week. This disgusting decision from an incompetent manager out of their depth has left an extremely bitter taste.

Recovering from severe food poisoning.Visit here with family. It was difficult to get a table. When we finally did, it was filthy. We had food and a drink the glasses were disgustingly dirty and food just ok. We all got so ill with food poisoning. Has put us off eating out for life.
