Cafes in Chatham

“Located at Kestrel Rd shopping parade. The cafe is friendly and has a nice vibe. It is quite spacious and when I visited there were several occupied tables. The menu is quite extensive and consists of typical cafe fare. Cooked breakfasts, burgers , sandwiches, panini's etc. There are some vegetarian options too. I had a cappuccino which was very nice and to eat a fried egg sandwich. The bread was fresh and the eggs cooked nicely. The prices were fair and an average of what I have seen in the area.”

“Situated on the ground floor of the Pentagon Centre, Latinos is a must if you are in the centre! Friendly staff, a truly decent mug of tea and VERY tasty food! Very much another place to avoid if you're on a diet!”

“Not sure why the last few reviews were so anti. Popped in with my partner Sunday morning at 9:45. Busy but still some tables to be had. Service with drinks was pretty much instantaneous and with a smile, sone chat, and warm welcome. We both ordered a different large fry up breakfast, and both were superb, and very reasonably priced. Sausages were large and tasty, eggs well done, everything was hot and delicious. Toast was thick uncut bread with lots of butter. I had an OJ, large, which came as a pint, and was proper juice, not squash. Tea was piping hot and well made. Decor was classic greasy spoon but tidy and clean. Lots of happy faces in there enjoying good food and a natter, and the radio was on for some nice Sunday morning background music. These sort of classic English cafes done right seem to be a dying institution, which is a shame. Use them or lose them, I'll definitely be popping back soon!”

“I recently visited Costa Coffee and had a generally pleasant experience. The coffee and pastries were up to the usual high Costa standards, and the service was friendly. However, one significant downside during my visit was the overwhelming presence of cigarette smoke. The atmosphere was unfortunately devoured by the strong odor of cigarettes from nearby smokers, which made it less enjoyable for non-smoking patrons like myself. This aspect certainly needs improvement to create a more comfortable and inviting environment.Despite the issue with smoke, Costa Coffee continues to deliver on quality coffee and service, which is why I'm rating it 4 stars. Addressing the smoking concerns would make it an even better place for everyone to enjoy.”
