Recently moved to the area and didn't fancy making my own dinner today so tried the local Indian, apparently it's award winning so why not try it.Sadly I was disappointed. They say it's Indian food on the menu when it isn't. (bengali most likely)The chicken dishes where,1 swimming in oil and2 the second dish was not what I ordered. We had ordered a butter chicken but when it was delivered was not, it had a coconut taste to it and when looking at the menu it was clearly a korma.3 the mushroom rice had barely any mushrooms in it.We called the restaurant who made it clear it was infact butter chicken and it wasn't korma, they said it wasn't how we make it. Clearly fobbing me off.My wife wanted the butter chicken and got a dish that contained coconut which she can't have,My question to them was if they used coconut they should have put it on the ingredients list. As they do for the korma.Asked for a refund on the korma as I had paid by card but they refused saying we can give you a discount on my next order, I'm never ordering fro here again. Due to the blatant disrespectful nature of the guy I spoke with on the phoneI've left the pictures. You guys decide. No doubt I won't get a reply

First visit to this restaurant. It was excellent. Probably the best curry I have ever had at a curry house. All my party said the same and had different dishes.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly service. The food was absolutely marvellous! The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes but I couldn't resist trying their most popular curry and it did not disappoint. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was also top-notch.Overall, my visit to Kent Curry in Dartford was nothing short of brilliant. The combination of the welcoming atmosphere, fantastic food and outstanding service made it an experience I won't ever forget. We visited The Kent Curry house last night, will never go back. The starters were a vegetable samosa were passable but over fried. The other starter, a prawn puree, the puri was stodgy, undercooked and chewy, the prawn curry was blitzed in the microwave. Main courses the vegetable Jalfrazi was ok but the prawn Madras was awful. It was basically prawns in a bland gravy with chilli. There was no spices, hebs or seasoning. When I compalined the manager was very disgruntled and said I was probably used to a hotter curry. I said there was no problem with the spiciness it was the lack of other seasoning and spices. He ignored that and me saying that I did not want another curry as we had waited so long for one of the staff to come over. I tried a spoonful of the new curry and it was the same only with more chilli. We asked for the bill and discovered a nann bread had been added which we had not ordered or had, despite the irate waiter saying that he had just removed an unfinished naan from the table! Which was a lie.

Just about passable but not a repeat. The dishes seem to lack any real flavour beyond being boiled in Turmeric. Whatever is the sour ingredient they use in the dry mix veg is overdone and too sour. Different flavour profile dishes all taste the same.

Husband & I fancied a curry local to our home, after perusing local restaurants we decided on Kent Curry House. The reviews were mixed. Very good and scathing so we entered with an open mind. Firstly, the establishment looked clean. We were handed menus & drinks order taken. The menus were impressive and didn’t stick together like some menus we’ve experienced at times! The table was beautifully laid, linen cloths and serviettes, china & cutlery. We ate popudums with pickle tray whilst waiting for the mains. Two chicken main’s together with three side vegetable dishes didn’t disappoint. It was all delicious, not swimming in oil, (ghee). We cleared our plates. I read on previous review that tables were 4” apart. This was not the case and as far as I could see never has been. Yes, the planters on windowsills, which contained leafy green plants could do with attention but this didn’t detract from what was, for us, a successful evening out. There were 4 or 5 other couples in at the same time with just one guy to wait-on. He handled it beautifully and no-one had to wait for anything. For a descent curry meal, go there, don’t hesitate to try it for yourself!

A Timeless Delight at Kent Curry HouseIf you're seeking a culinary experience that combines tradition, history, and delectable flavors, look no further than Kent Curry House. Nestled in the heart of town, this establishment has been enchanting taste buds since its opening in 1977. I recently had the pleasure of indulging in their renowned Chicken Zamdani and Peshwari Naan, and I must say, it was an unforgettable gastronomic journey. The Chicken Zamdani at Kent Curry House instantly transported me to the flavors of the Indian subcontinent. The dish was a remarkable blend of tender chicken pieces, lovingly marinated in a secret combination of spices that rendered each bite a true delight. The rich, aromatic gravy boasted a perfect balance of tanginess and heat, leaving a lingering explosion of flavors on my palate. It was evident that the chefs at Kent Curry House take immense pride in their recipes, as every element of the Chicken Zamdani showcased their expertise. To complement the exquisite main course, I couldn't resist ordering the Peshwari Naan. This traditional bread, generously loaded with a sweet and nutty filling, was a revelation. Each bite revealed a play of textures, from the soft, pillowy naan to the satisfying crunch of the roasted nuts. Its subtle sweetness beautifully contrasted the spiciness of the Chicken Zamdani, creating a harmonious combination that tingled my taste buds.Kent Curry House’s rich history is palpable through its authentic dishes, having stood the test of time for over four decades. With each visit, one can't help but appreciate the dedication and pride put into every meal. The attentive staff adds to the overall experience, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In conclusion, my dining experience at Kent Curry House was nothing short of delightful.
