My wife and I were regulars when the Hawley kitchen first opened, the food was excellent as were the staff, unfortunately it eventually lost its mojo for whatever reasons and we like others we knew decided to use other destinations. After hearing that it was reopened with new ownership we decided to give it a try and we were more than happy to find that once again we have an excellent Indian restaurant in Hawley, the food, staff and decor are first class and hopefully it will continue that way

I could spend my monthly wages here. The food is absolutely amazing. Every time I pop by, I see something new and never leave with just what I intended to get. It’s not cheap but the quality and quantity is worth it. Some special deals like the box of brownies, are worth the price and give you the opportunity to try multiple flavours. 1 brownie or blonde, is big enough for a (large) adult male, you’ll never eat 2 in 1 sitting

We ordered our wedding cake from the Bearded foodie and had so many compliments. When looking for a cake everyone told us not too spend too much as ‘No one ever eats it’ or ‘It all goes in the bin’ however we had loads of people asking where it was from and no cake left over. We went for White chocolate and raspberry, lemon and salted caramel for our 3 tier semi naked cake. It was delicious, looked beautiful and we had a great customer experience working with Pete and his team. We’ve been in for some treats since and we are so glad we went local for our wedding cake so we can revisit for treats on other special occasions. Thanks so much! Highly recommend.

Ordered a post box of brownies for a friend's birthday. Sadly the Royal Mail left the package hidden outside their house and didn't post a note through the door to let them know they had left it there so the package was found many days later very wet from the torrential rain. I emailed The Bearded Foodie to let them know this and ask whether a replacement could be sent however I haven't heard back. Really disappointed.

Brownies are the absolute best we have ever tasted as a family.
I stumbled across this place when visiting the Garden Centre and have been craving it ever since. The cookie pies are splendid. I’m used to the likes of Borough market, Broadway market and other foodie spots in East London and I think this place really surpasses all of them in terms of taste, quality and value for money. Highly recommend - what a gem!!

This was a strange one, my wife loves it here I’m not so keen but we went for the banquet night . Firstly when ordering a starter of menu we were told most things were two pound extra, we were about to leave when we were told as my wife was a regular they would waiver this. The food was amazing , my salmon starter was to die for , the sag aloo was full of taste, poppadums fresh and cleanliness exceptional. Portions were big , so we asked for a doggie bag to take what was left home and they said that would be two pounds!! Never heard of that in any curry house around the world and they again waive red this . To have to keep thinking what would be extra didn’t enhance our evening but as said food was excellent and ample parking and my wine was proper quality not plonk!
