Had a good lunch here today, service was fast and food was fresh and of decent quality.Worth noting that the salad cart items are dished out by the staff now, which aims to lower the chance of cross contamination.The new pulled pork dirty fries were very nice.

The lady (hostess) who was on front for was racist and didn’t want to let us sit in the restaurant firstly she said that it’s because we don’t have reservations and after I went online and reserve table she said that even having reservations not means that there will be a table ready for us. When I asked what is the reason she said that people who sitting on the table still didn’t order their dessert even we had 15 min to our booking and there was plenty of tables on the restaurant which was free. We sat to wait for exact time of the booking when another group of people came in with same time reservations and they’ve given table straight without the need of wait. I never felt so bad in my life. I’m British citizen and believe in diversity and inclusion but can’t say same for the lady which after I asked for manager said that she is the manager for the evening. I hope another family to do not have to experience what my family experienced.

Usually really busy on a bank holiday, but we were served our food within 15 minutes of ordering. Food was nice. The only thing was that you can't help yourself to the salad cart/bread rolls/sauces anymore, a member of staff has to get it for you, but overall a good experience

Haven't been to this restaurant for many years (at least 7) as heard bad reviews from people I knew. Pleased to say the food has much improved and well presented. Only one thing there didn't seem as much variety at the salad bar, but could be wrong but the thousand Island dressing was just as tasty.

First time visiting this harvester. As it was nearer the theatre we were going to. We. We’re running a little late but they held table and waiter Lee was quick to serve us and polite and attentive throughout our meal. Food all ok and quick service.

Booked on line. No problems. Seen to our table straight away. Lee our waiter was a credit to the Rising Sun. He was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We had rib eye steak which was cooked exactly as we requested. Never had the onion basket before. Would recomend it.

The service was excellent provided by Shannon. Very pleasant, friendly and professional. All in all Shannon made our visit perfect combined with beautifully cooked food from the grill. No doubt we will be back.

We visited the rising sun on a Sunday for breakfast - when we arrived at the restaurant it was very quiet. Our friendly waitress sat us down and explained everything to us, got us drinks and ordered our breakfasts however it went downhill from there. Over 40 minutes went by and our food hadn’t arrived, no one came and spoke to us, eventually when it did some items were burnt, some undercooked and looked like the scraps of the end of a breakfast shift - not fresh. When we brought this to the managers attention, she was argumentative and didn’t apologise at all. We were made to feel like an inconvenience by being there. We have been to this harvester several times and seems to be going downhill in the past couple months. Will definitely be travelling a bit further to the horse and groom harvester in Sidcup instead.

Invite our older children out for breakfast and to be honest should of stayed at home and cooked it. Very disappointed my breakfast came out with cold scrambled eggs, which were changed to poached eggs which were not cooked as cold in the middle couldn’t tell a waiter as no one came back to see if we need anything else. The funniest thing about it all is the one button mushroom you get with you full English. Won’t be visiting again
