Saturday night was our 2nd time at this wonderful place, and we ended up back there again for Sunday lunch, for what was surely the best veggie roast I’d ever eaten. The tapas plates on the menu are imaginative and insanely good, and the staff are welcoming and lovely. A definite favourite!

Had lunch here yesterday and it was fantastic! Delicious and well- cooked sharing plates and great service. We have already booked a return visit.

The whole look of the exterior is very attractive and drew us in even though there are many other eateries to choose from.Inside it was spacious yet still cosy. The decor was stylish and quirky, expecially the toilet ☺️.Our server, Edith gave us a warm welcome and she was very knowledgeable about thier menu. She guided us through the choices and offered great advice as to which items may match our taste preferences best. The food was outstanding. We chose a selection of small sharing plates. All were delightful and the combination of flavours worked exceptionally together.Cal and Jake, the chefs are obviously extremely talented and passionate about thier food. It is obvious that they put a lot of thought and love into the menu.We heartily and sincerely recommend the Frog and Scot and will definitely be returning with friends and family. We just popped in for a light lunch but ended up having a taste bud tingling and all round memorable experience. We cannot recommend enough.

Bank-rolled by some local London wannabe's. Ridiculously overpriced food with stupid small sizes and condescending service. Avoid the plague! If you spend over 200 quid and feel the need to stop off at another restaurant on the way home to feel like you've actually eaten something then something's wrong with this place. Deal restaurants for the locals not airbnbers!

Excellent restaurant in Deal. Great value small plates, interesting flavour combinations presented beautifully. Proper, life affirming food with a fantastic wine list at very reasonable prices. We were well looked after by all the staff, with special shouts to Isabelle & Cath for the attentive and welcoming service. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

My 4th time visiting and did not disappoint! I wish I had taken more photos, but we were just too busy scoffing each dish delicious down! The staff remembered us and were as warm and welcoming as previous visits. We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu we missed out on!

Expensive and mediocre, service and food below par. Much better places in Deal would not

Unfortunately, despite the warm service and great looking menu, the food was very disappointing. As other reviews mention - the price was completely mismatched with the size and quality of the dishes. Most notably the broccoli with xo sauce was so overcooked I could’ve swallowed it without chewing, contrary to the leek small plate which I could have chewed for a week and not digested. It just felt poorly cooked, bland and utterly overpriced.

I don't want to give such a low rating but we felt cheated after our meal last night. There were four of us and we ordered lots of small plates to share. When the Octopus was placed on the table we were all speechless. We actually struggled to see the Octopus it was that small. 5 slices of a small tentacle less than coin thickness. For £15. £3 a fingernail size! I've never felt this cheated in a restaurant before. I'm still baffled now that the chef thought it was acceptable.I wonder if they were about to run out and thought they could get away it, rather than say it was sold out. I don't see any other reviews mentioning the miniscule portions so I assume this was a one off. I wish I'd taken a photo so readers could play hunt the Octopus too!We complained to a waitress who spoke as if it was normal. She said it was her favourite dish. But there was no apology or compensation. The rest of the food was ok, but only average. My recommendation is pop in for a cocktail and then cross the road for a decent meal. We definitely won't be visiting again.

A delicious looking lunch that I couldn’t really get involved in due to feeling a bit rough, the starter and roasts looked amazing and I was jealous, my solo dish was a lovely walnut ice cream with white chocolate soil and coffee oil. Superb service and vibe.

Absolutely fantastic dinner. Food was delicious, the croquette was a highlight, the hash brown was so crunchy and perfectly seasoned and the service was wonderful. Thanks so much to Edith for looking after us and our dogs so well. Highly recommend if you’re after great food and great service in a relaxed and well curated environment
