A charming, tucked away little pub, well worth seeking out.We enjoyed a very friendly welcome, great beers and a sunny afternoon in the back beer garden.We will certainly be back with more friends for what sounds like a fabulous Sunday roast.

I enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Lantern with old friends. We booked one of the outside tables at the front and had a brilliant evening. I cannot praise the staff enough - both at the bar and service at our table. Really professional, friendly and attentive to their customers' needs. The food (I had Pizza!) was out of this delicious. If you haven't been to Martin or The Lantern, I recommend a visit. Th pub is really quaint (c1610?). Well done to all of the Lantern team - great job.

Amazing service both on the day and in the lead-up to our booking for a group dinner for a hen party. Lovely atmosphere in the garden, great cocktails at happy hour prices and the food was delicious too. Everyone we spoke with was so friendly and they were very careful and reassuring around our dietary requirements with two celiacs in the group. Thank you so much!

From the moment we arrived for our meal the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful My partner had the pizza which I must say was excellent especially the base The other couple that was with us had the burgers And with out a doubt he said it’s the best burger he’s ever had ( and I no for a fact he is a connoisseur of them ?) The owner come over and showed us the glamping Accommodation and up stairs suite to rent We will definitely be back to stay and try the very much talked about Sunday lunch.

Visited this beauitful 16th century inn again and all I can say is perfect? The staff and Andy are the perfect hosts and the food is amazing.. Try the truffle mushroom pizza you won't be disappointed and the burgers are to die for. Hope to visit again soon and thank you all for making our evening outstanding Found out tonight you can stay in a apartment above which is seriel so luxurious Thanks guys once again x

Unbelievably accommodating, especially for my little brother who has high functioning autism and is extremely fussy; the waiter couldn't have been any nicer. Everyone ensured that our every need was met and that we were happy.
Food was exceptional, ambience wonderful and the decor is simply stunning. We all left with full a full tummy and already planning our return. Thank you so much for a lovely birthday meal. We will be back!
