It was ok, nothing special, waited a long time for jacket potato and a sausage baguette, appreciate it had to be cooked, had a fried egg on my baguette, which came out cremated and hard, one of the waitresses was swearing to herself but was still overheard, not professional at all. It wasn't even that busy, the young man on the till was very polite though, second time I have been there, not a lot had changed, so probably won't be going back. I had heard good reviews about the secret garden, but unfortunately I did not rate it. Each to their own.

A great place and nice food.

Overpriced food and the worst service in any faversham cafe ,they charge London prices and keep you waiting half an hour for overpriced average food ,staff seem to think it's normal to keep you waiting for a Luke warm half cup of terrible coffee and when you mention this to them they stare blankly back at you like it's not their fault I wouldn't mind if they were not so expensive and although customers have complained about the service it just gets worse and worse ,I stopped going there now and would not recommend unless you have an hour to waste of your life waiting for a mediocre overpriced lunch

Stopped by for a light lunch on a Tuesday. Many of the other outlets on Standard Quay were closed. However, we were glad we tried the Secret Garden. Friendly, efficient staff and reasonable prices.Parking: There is a 2 hour limit.

Very good food. We had just come back from a walk, grabbed a table which had only just become available (they cleaned it before we sat down as well - wish I could say that about every place!). Ordered coffees and tea, cheese scones and a gluten free carrot cake. My wife has been before and it was equally as good. The food was high quality, I know it was simple but if I had a £1 for every simple dish I have had which was totally messed up, I'd be a rich person!

My colleague and I called in for a coffee yesterday, all good except I stupidly left my phone, credit cards, driving license etc on the table and was several miles away before realising it was missing. In panic I returned and was greeted by the lovely waitress with the phone and a 'poor you, bless you'. In the current climate how absolutely uplifting to be greeting by a caring and honest person. an asset to any service company. Thank you.

Wicked breakfast here for a tenner plus a couple of quid for tea. Freshly cooked, piping hot, tastes like proper home cooking. The picture hides some of the ingredients on the plate, including lots of fresh baby tomatoes, mushrooms to complement the beans, two rashers of crispy bacon, a thick slice of black pudding, a huge spicy pork sausage, two fried eggs and two thick fresh pieces of brown toast. Set me up for the whole day! All in all a lovely cafe down on Standard Quay with free parking, serving quality food at a competitive price. Good Wi-Fi too. I wrote and posted this review while I was there.Parking: Plenty of free parking at Standard Quay, for two hours - and you can validate your registration at the cafe too.

We arrived quite near to closing time and we were told so. We felt they served us reluctantly and we ate our cake and finished our drinks quickly. We kind of got the feeling they wanted us to go. 15 minutes before the actual closing time shown on Google they said we had to go.We came away thinking " why did we bother " . If they didn't want to serve anyone else it would have been better to just say so.

In my opinion expensive, £7 for a sandwich ??? Elsewhere for little more you can get a full breakfast. Drinks expensive too. Think I'll pass on this place in future. Staff however are 5star.
