Vegetarian options: Literally everywhere else does a beetroot wellington, we phoned before our visit and spoke to the chef who made my wife a gorgeous little nut roast ?Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions maybe could have been labelled a little clearerWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant itself is an old public house, I would not recommend taking a wheelchair user as it is quite small and cramped in the main bar and would be difficult to get into as there is a steep step up.

Went on Sunday 28/1/2023Nowhere near as hard to reach as indicated in the KM. The cars suspension did make a few odd noises though.Lovely & warm inside. Really welcoming. Great beer. Basic but fantastic food. We both had liver & bacon. Recommended. A superb pub, great to visit & well worth the easy drive. Even the loo is perfectly adequate, unlike as mentioned in the KM. 100% recommended.

Staff were really welcoming and friendly, my friend and I went for lunch and coffees; I had homemade soup and my friend had a sandwich, both from the specials board and both were delicious. The coffees were hot and tasty and we bought some fresh cakes to take home with us which were amazing. I would definitely come back here.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space for pushchairs

Homely and welcoming little gem inside the village of Oare, surrounded by beautiful country scenery. Varied menu serving home cooked delightful and tasty dishes. Staff, manager and locals made us very welcome. Clean and pleasant surroundings and tables well spaced out, so perfect for having that privacy and space when spending valuable time catching up with friends and family. Quiz nights also on, making it a great all round village pub. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed… the roasts are delicious with generous portions.

White Lion

The Street, Selling, Faversham

An old favourite pub of mine, stuck out in the middle of the glorious Kent countryside and yet very close to the A2/ M2 motorways. Some of the old original features of the pub have been retained whilst externally from the street there is little sign of the modernization that has happened in the last decades. This subtlety adds to the mysteque if you visit for the first time.Lovely pub food is served by friendly staff and the beer/ wine selection is good too.

I’ve done quite a few brewery tours but the guide on this one (unfortunately I’ve forgotten his name, it was on 13/4/24) was the best ever. Very interesting and witty.
