“Under a new management since early 2025 with a pub on the ground floor and restaurant (white table cloths) overlooking the harbour on the 1st floor. We received a very attentive 5* service and the both the fish pie and the sea bass dish were delicious. The Mariner is venue for live music on a fortnight basis.
Highly recommend”

We were 6 adults, 2 babies and a large dog booked for Sunday lunch on 31 August.

We were put in a back room with a sturdy spacious table. Not squashed together which always helps.

The Sunday roast was excellent and plentiful.

Lots of good fresh veg, good roast potatoes so Well Done ?

It may not be the fanciest of establishments but its honest and very good food.

“I didn’t try to food as I just stopped for a coffee but will definitely be back to have food and drinks, the staff were friendly and had a lovely atmosphere.”

“Nice place overall. Birria sauce was very lacking. High prices but tacos in particular didn't really justify their price. Decent enough to stop in too. Given 4 stars as a few tweaks would make a big difference.”
